Just left after a week of perfect weather and accommodations. My wife and two adult children shared the house, which was bright, cool and cozy. Classy place, well maintained, but not extravagant. Enjoyed the grill and fully equipped kitchen, outdoor/indoor dining, firepit, TV access to streaming services. Walked daily to beach, 20 minutes away. Did not need to communicate at all with property manager. Would stay there again!

Thank you so much for the perfect cottage near the lake to get away to! The cottage is well appointed with all the necessities for a weeklong stay, although we only had time for a handful of days there. The space is open and airy, with the best skylights making it so! Perfect sleeping arrangements for our family of 5! It had the best throwback feel to it, we just adored everything about it! Also in a great central location to everything in Harbor Country, but tucked away on a quiet street! Communication with the host was fantastic, Leighann even made sure to tell us of a potential hive issue outside by the AC unit, right away upon arrival. They also had the cottage ready for us earlier than check in time and let us know! A nice plus!! We can’t wait to stay here again, and hopefully for a weeklong stay next time! 😊

We came to celebrate my dad's 95th birthday. My family including my son, his wife and their infant along with my daughter and wife needed a place close to New Buffalo but with some autonomy from the main house where another 15 members of the family were staying. This house fit the bill perfectly. It was small, 3 bedrooms, with a large open central area with kitchen and living area where we could connect. The house was clean, the AC was working and the beds were comfortable. The only issue I would suggest for future visitors is that there were no amenities whatsoever, no shampoo, no body wash, no salt, pepper, sugar etc so we had to get all that. Also the coffee pot was so small that it served 2 to 2/12 normal cups so we had to make it 3 times. But these are small consideration. It is walking distance from a very nice bakery and coffee shop, breweries and a few restaurants in the area. All in all a nice peaceful stay.

The photos of the property are accurate. It was a clean and sunny place to stay. Finding the key was a little tricky after dark. It was my birthday weekend and all I wanted to do was read on the couch in front of the fireplace. I selected Morningside because the couch was in front of the fireplace. When we arrived there was a sign telling us not to use the fireplace. Very disappointing! The listing should be updated to reflect this information.

We were three friends (40’s) escaping for a quick getaway from Chicago to eat, drink coffee and play board games. We loved how bright, cute and clean the house was. We were able to walk to an adorable nearby bakery (Black Currant) for donuts and coffee in the morning and fantastic vegetarian sandwiches for lunch. Listing was very accurate and we weren’t disappointed.

We all really enjoyed staying here. It was very clean and we all had our own bed! We enjoyed going to the beach to watch the sunsets. The only issue we had was locking the front door from the inside.

The cottage was just as pictured and perfect for a quick getaway for our family of 4. Great location and an easy drive to restaurants, Lake Michigan, the dunes, and nearby towns. We didn’t have much interaction with the host, but that was fine for our needs. Only suggestion would be to add instructions by the front door on how to lock it - arriving at night, it wasn’t intuitive and took us a few minutes to locate the instructions on the inner frame. We would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay. The property was clean and in a nice quiet neighborhood. There were a couple of minor inconveniences; e.g., the dining chairs were very wobbly and a couple were falling apart; some of the dishes were a little dirty (I think the dishwasher could be updated). But these were minor, and we still enjoyed our stay. On the other hand there were a few things that were very convenient - beach towels, beach chairs, and the bottle of local wine was a nice touch. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this property again.

Our family and I had an amazing time. The house was perfect for our family. We loved the town of union pier and new buffalo. We visited a lot of beaches that were near by. The beaches are beautiful. We hope to make a trip back to stay at Morningside next year!

Quite and easy access to everything around the are. Public beach access is just down the road. Very clean and well kept place. Perfect for a quick getaway. Host was super responsive!

It was nice to be off the beaten path in a quieter location while still being close to things. House was nice, good amount of space, and it was nice to have a large outdoor area. Beds are a little firm but that’s all a preference thing. Rooms are fairly spacious. I’d stay here again!

Home was clean and homey. Location was quiet without barking dogs or tons of traffic driving by. Nice sitting area in back. Check in process was easy. The bottle of wine and strawberry-rhubarb jam was such a nice welcoming touch.
