Located in Smith Mountain Lake, this lovely house for $400 per night is a great option for your next break. Enjoy this amazing waterfront home in one of the best locations on the lake. Three bedroom (1King, 2 Queen), two (renovated) full baths. Home is centrally located to Bridgewater Plaza (less than 1 mile). Prime location to restaurants, grocery stores, boat rentals, shopping, and entertainment. You may also just want to relax and enjoy the many amenities “Dockside Daze” has to offer including a large dock perfectly situated to enjoy sunset views, Tiki bar, multiple outdoor grilling stations, flagstone patio firepit and dining area, plus large upper covered porch. Tie-ups available for boat owners/renters plus multiple jet ski floating ramps for your use (jet skis and boats not included but available for rent at many local marinas). House includes kayaks, paddleboat, paddleboard, floats, bocce ball, corn hole, ladder ball, badminton, pickle ball, and more. High speed internet with upgraded cable package and Samsung Smart TVs in all bedrooms. Well-appointed kitchen including Keurig pod/coffee pot combination with additional full-size fridge in Tiki bar. High quality bed linens included as well as lake and bath towels. A washer and dryer are available for guest use.

This owner is generous with water toys, yard toys, cozy fireplace and blankets. Plush bedding. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Whole family is in love with this rental on Smith Mountain Lake.

We came to Dockside Daze as 2 Mothers & 2 Daughters for a week of fun, laughs, & making memories. It did Not disappoint! The house and property are immaculate and close to everything such as grocery stores, shopping, dining, vineyards, ect. The house also has everything you could possibly need to cook meals (fully stocked of cookware, dishes, seasonings, convenient condiments, multiple grills, and so on). The beds were extremely comfortable for great nights of sleep as well as a very quiet neighborhood. It is such a tranquil and peaceful place.
The weather was not as good as expected for being on the water but the owners of Dockside Daze went out of their way to give Us the Best experience we could have imagined. Heather & Ken are wonderful and gracious hosts. They offered to take Us out on their boat to have a nice evening tour of the lake. They told stories and showed Us many things we would not have had the chance to do. We cannot Thank them enough! It was such a pleasure to meet and get to know them and they truly made our trip memorable! They also gave Us ideas of things to do on the chilly days as well as great restaurant options. Napoli on the Lake was our favorite. Fabulous food!
We travel to meet at a lake every year (as we all live in different states) and we will definitely be coming back to Dockside Daze next year to enjoy Smith Mountain Lake again. It's a beautiful area with friendly people & I cannot say enough great things about the Owners & property! TY

We had a fantastic stay. The location is ideal, very close to grocery stores and local eats and shops. The walk down to the lake is easy with plenty of fun things to use. The owners are super friendly and the communication is fantastic. I look forward to staying there again.

This is a wonderful home to stay where you feel right at home. Owners have thought of everything! And the lake….lake front to this beautiful lake where there’s the most beautiful view and direct access to the lake. The entire outdoors areas were perfect for our family and our fun filled vacation! Can’t wait to return to Dockside Daze and SML!!

A wonderful Place to stay and we will no doubt seek out availability here when we desire to re-visit SML. I would ask that owners look at the Dock Ladder as it was difficult climb in/out of water.

Dockside Daze was an amazing home. The location is perfect, the home is very clean, and the amenities are great. Heather and Ken were amazing and were very accessible.The dock area was perfect and has paddle boards, tubes, etc. Made for a great vacation for our Family.

We have stayed at different houses the last few years and this one is probably our favorite! The house was very clean and the check in off was was easy. The pictures and description are accurate. The house was perfect for us with three bedrooms two full bathrooms and a large couch for a person to sleep on.
We had 7 people and 2 dogs and there was plenty of room for us.
The back deck with the two tables were perfect for morning coffee and dinner with a great view of the lake. The dock has plenty of chairs and floats we didn’t have to bring any. The tiki bar was so cool! And the fridge down there was perfect for drinks . We cooked every night and the kitchen had everything we needed.
Wi-Fi was fast and didn’t lag.
The Moneta food lion is a short drive away or you can go to the other side and go to Kroger.
The owners were available via phone or text for any issues!
Overall an amazing property! Can’t wait to book next years vacation :)

We enjoyed our week at SML. This home was great for our family. Our hosts were very attentive and easy to communicate with. The home is generously stocked. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were updated. The outside areas allowed many spaces to relax and enjoy the lake. Great dock area with Tiki bar. Our dogs enjoyed the yard and water. Lots of room to run and play.
It is also convenient to restaurants and shopping.

We rented Dock Daze for a long weekend when our daughter graduated from Virginia Tech.
Dock Daze is depicted perfectly in the description and the pictures. The owner was attentive, kind, knowledgeable of the area, gave exceptional recommendations on where to eat, and very generous of her home.
The home and area was spotless and had lots of thoughtful touches for guests. It was also fully equipped with lots of extra perks. The dock and outside area.... well it was extraordinary!
Fun, relaxing, great entertaining spot, and located on the perfect part of the lake! Dock Daze's location is in the heart of everything, which makes it easy to access anything from renting a boat to going to the grocery store - you name it, it's within 10 minutes. With that being said.....the house is located on a private road in a cozy cove offering the best of both worlds - privacy and easy access to all that Smith Mountain Lake has to offer.
I look forward to another visit at Dock Daze and thank the owners for sharing their slice of Heaven on the lake!
Side note: We attended two graduation events at VT (about 1 hr 20 mins) on the Friday we were there. We drove back to Dock Daze in between the ceremonies with no trouble.

In addition the location was ideal - both lakeside location and closeness to restaurants and shops. We had a perfect stay.

Great location, close to a lot of things. Property was beautiful with the fall colors! Lots of board games and things to do at the property. Love that they included a TV in every room, most places don’t. One thing I’d add is a charcoal grill. Love the taste of a steak on a charcoal grill by the fire. Will definitely rebook for the summer time so we can enjoy the water!

What a delightful house in a perfect location! Clean, well appointed, just right. We spent every evening down on the dock soaking up the sunset. Very happy with this choice. Would love to come back again.

Wish I could give a 4.5. The house is in an excellent location - quiet cove, but super close to the main road and town, plus an easy, short slope to the water and dock area. The owners have thought of many things to make the stay very convenient - no need to bring a bunch of household supplies as normally required when renting around SML. The beds are VERY comfortable and I sleep like the Princess and the Pea! My only complaint is the place does have a cigarette and slight musty smell, especially in the master. Something important to know in advance if you're sensitive. Otherwise, I highly recommend.

This is a cozy little home and worked perfectly for our family (6 adults and 2 toddlers). This place has plenty of indoor and outdoor games. The back patio is perfect for your afternoon lunch or dinner and has nice coverage for sun or rain. The dock is a great size with enough seating for 6 adults. We have a 25 1/2 foot boat and had no problems tying it off at the dock. Great weekend getaway!

It's a nicely maintained home, but small--only 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. I would recommend it to a family of two parents and two kids. It was a bit small for us, but it was such a great place, we made it work. The outside property and dock are fantastic. The kids had a great time swimming off the dock, riding the paddle boat and kayak and tubes.

My family had an amazing stay!! The house is really cute and cozy and has everything you need and the view from the deck is great. The dock, where you want to spend all your time when at the lake, is amazing! Located in cove right off main lake so you can sit back and watch the boats go by while enjoying some cold beverage from the Tiki lounge. The dock and tiki lounge has everything you could want, gas grill
steps away, full size fridge, awesome frozen drink maker, plenty of chairs, paddle boat, kayak, the list goes on. Definitely will stay here again!

I accidently dropped my phone behind the couch and when I moved it out to get my phone, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a while (lots of dust, hair, and cobwebs). I also opened the drawers in the master bathroom to store some of my things at the beginning of our stay, but decided not to, because there was a lot of black hair in the bottom of the drawers. If you plan to take a boat, please be aware that the house is at the end of a dead-end road with nowhere to turn around. You have to pull into the neighbor’s driveway to back a boat trailer into the driveway, and depending on how long your boat is, it can be tricky to get out. Also, there's a boat in the covered slip on the dock, so you must tie your boat to the side of the dock. These are just a few minor things I wish I had known beforehand. All in all, we loved house, and the dock is amazing - it was our favorite part. The house is equipped with everything you need, and the owners were always quick to respond to any questions we had. We would stay here again!

This newly refurbished lake home was a great getaway for the family. It was an easy drive to Liberty University for the Graduation we attended. We loved the view of the lake, the local restaurants and most of all the fishing of the dock. The owners have added a lot of extra little things to make the place special
