Via Inn Prime Akasaka

Staff were welcoming, the room was clean and well maintained. Facilities provided were excellent, even the recyclable toiletries!! Excellent value for an overnight stay post a long flight.

Breakfast was a bit limited for a Western palate but otherwise good.

The hotel is in an excellent location in the pleasant Akasaka area, and the 24-hour 7-eleven on the ground floor is a great addition to the amenities offered by the hotel. The room was clean but very compact. This was not a surprise, as hotel rooms in Tokyo are generally quite small, but it is something to keep in mind, especially if you are traveling with multiple large suitcases. We both enjoyed the breakfast and found it varied enought, offering both Japanese dishes and Western options. One thing that stood out during our stay was the friendliness of the staff, especially at breakfast. They were always cheerful, attentive and welcoming, making every morning start on a positive note and helping create very pleasant atmosphere. Before our stay, I read several reviews as well as the hotel’s policies, and I contacted the hotel in advance regarding the use of the public bath facilities as someone with multiple tattoos. The hotel advised me to cover my tattoos carefully and welcomed me to use the public bath. However, they also explained that if another guest expressed concern about my tattoos, I might be asked to leave the facility. I was completely fine with this, and I believe it is each guest’s responsibility to check the rules in advance and follow the respectfully. During our stay, none of the other guests appeared concerned about my tattoos, and I was able to enjoy the beautiful public bath facilities without any issues. I especially appreciated little touches such as the ReFa hair dryers provided by the hotel. The hotel provides guests with slippers and pajamas in the room, which can be worn throughout the hotel, including at breakfast. In addition, the reception area and public bath facilities offer complimentary amenities such as a toothbrush and -paste, hairbrush, razor, facial cleanser, sheet masks, hair ties, cotton pads and cotton swabs. ☺️

The only minor drawback was the room size, but that’s to be expected in Tokyo and certainly wasn’t a deal-breaker for us!

Awesome location and the room/hotel was modern. The 7-11 downstairs was incredibly convenient.

The elevators always stop at the second floor so that was a little frustrating.

Location was good. The bed itself We was comfortable and the amenities were very good.

Check in was strictly 3pm, breakfast was more Japanese aligned not a bad thing just not great for me personally. Pillows were concrete blocks.
