We stayed at Munnga as a homebase for a weekend full of wedding festivities that we attended. The owner and front of house were very accommodating of the different times that we came and went. We were given our own keys and code to access the gate. The location of this lodge is in the heart of the Hoedspruiit Wildlife Estate. Plenty of game viewing in this estate; bush babies, Nyala, Kudu giraffe, Impala and Steenbok to name a view. Worth a drive or walk around if you have the chance!
Our room was incredibly clean and cosy. We loved the outside shower and treat of a really enormous bath. Our room was cleaned every day and so coming back after our weekend festivities was a treat in its own. The main lounge / dining area is very inviting and well stocked with an honesty bar and wine cellar!
The owners offer many activities right from the lodge; game drives, walking safaris and visits to local attractions including rehab centres and the Kruger National Park.
An absolute must stay if you are visiting Hoedspruit! We will definitely be back one day!

Beautiful lodge in ideal and extremely safe location. Probably our favorite during our whole trip to South Africa. Ruan, the owner, made us feel like we were home. He shared lots of interesting stories about his county and tips to make the most out of our holidays. The lodge is intimate, Beautifully decorated. Amazing food cooked by the chef. Animals around the property. Don’t hesitate anymore, just book at Muunga bush lodge. We hope to be able to come back one day in this beautiful place.

This is a really special place. You can feel the love that went into it - we were fortunate enough to meet and chat with the owner, who was very kind and made sure we were well taken care of. The ambience in the common room is stunning, especially at night with candles lit, the doors and windows open to the night, and music playing. The dinner was delicious. The room was beautifully done and very comfortable.
We would have liked a door to the bathroom, and the transfer was a little expensive ($60 for a 20 min drive) - however, that's on us for not making the arrangements ourselves.

We had a wonderful stay at the Muunga Bush Lodge and Spa. The location was great, the service was outstanding, and the dinner and breakfast were excellent. Also loved the well stocked, self-service bar! Our host was incredibly accommodating and even allowed us to take his bikes out for a ride through the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, where we were able to see giraffes, zebras, kudu, and other game up close. It was such a unique and memorable experience that made our stay even more special.
The only minor suggestion we would make is that we would have preferred a door on the bathroom for a bit more privacy.
