Old authentic agroturismo feel, but dirty and a bit lacking

We stayed here for a week. The welcoming was decent, and our host offered help to arrange excursions/dinner/trips. He booked us a horseback riding tour very locally which was excellent. The place was charming and gave the feeling of a Tuscan family driven olive/wine farm. The location is OK (not that far to Firenze or Siena for instance). Their olive oil is also very good. What made our stay at this place was the other guest. And the community feel you got with the other guests.

This is Agroturismo Poggio Primo, the title (Bilocale Cavaliere) of the place is misleading. The facilities such as soccer game/toy/playground were run down by time and not in good shape at all. Some of the wooden dining places seems to be rotten very soon. The internet connection was bad, and did only work well at the pool area. There was also limited cutlery for cooking. The older hosts (who were there most of the time) did not speak English which was a problem when we needed information/communicate. The pool was cleaned late, and not every day and not thoroughly either (for instance dead flies). After a rainy day there was still pine needles in the pool. The worst thing about this apartment was that it was not clean, we had not been there a day and we were black under our feet. Under the beds/tables and sofas there was dirt and dust too. Cobwebs in all rooms and both spiders and lizards inside.

Authentische Unterkunft - Toskana pur
