You get to step back in time when you enter the Capitol Cabin, to the 70s to be exact. The rich colors and fancy architecture will so transport you that you will ask, "Am I in a movie right now?!" The space You will finally accept that you are, in fact, playing the starring role in this movie called LIFE! Switch on the record player, pour a cold drink, and stretch out in front of floor-to-ceiling glass windows to soak up the sunshine. Guest access The whole place is yours. Enjoy! Other things to note As wonderful as they are your fur-babies need to stay home or with a friend. We have severe pet allergies in the family and can't risk exposure. Great location, super clean, and perfect for cozy relaxation. The weather stressed travel plans but great communication with the host took any lodging related stress away. The location had everything needed once we arrived (yay coffee!!!). Awesome stay, thanks!!!

So cool! So much thought went into every room. Honestly the house felt like a time machine. For those of us born in the 70s, it was like revisiting your childhood. The house is spectacular and truly an architectual wonder. The wood thoughtout gives the home a warmth that is lacking in our modern homes and the little touches like even the light switches demonstrate that this house has more character than any house we've seen in a long time. We loved it! We spent hours listening to the record player cruising through the old vinyl. We never even turned on the TV. Our new favorite place in Salem!

We really loved our stay at Capitol Cabin! It was the perfect fit for me and my son and his girlfriend while we visited my daughter and her wife. Our stay was comfortable, convenient to many things, easy check in/out, seamless communication with the host, and a great value for the cost. I would stay here again without hesitation. We all loved the vibe and retro decor, and the location was perfect. We had everything we needed for our stay and really appreciated Heather's communication and attention to detail. The only thing missing was a dishwasher, but for a shorter stay, it was no problem at all. The next time we come to visit, I'll be checking availability for Capitol Cabin.

This place was darling, better than the listing for sure! Very clean, quiet little neighborhood, not far from anything you may need. It's provided with all necessities as well. We would definitely stay again. Thank you, Heather for a wonderful stay!

My family totally loved this house! We were in Salem to drop my daughter off at Willamette University which was only about 15 minutes from the house. It's on a quite culdesac, immaculately clean, and enough room and privacy for our family of four. I will definitely stay here again when I come to Salem.

Heather our host was very helpful with all our questions. If there was any thing we needed, she was quick to respond. The beds comfortable. The blankets were perfect! Cute balcony out by the main room able to seat outside. The street were the house sets very quiet. We book this house for the easy and quick 10 miles to Independence to watch fireworks!
