everything was great, except the sliding door to the balcony tended to stick, and the mattress was very firm and you could feel the springs

This a really nice small hotel with a boutique feel and a cool reception area, situated on the canal and minutes away from the best shopping and eating experiences in Waikiki. I much prefer it over the craziness (and eye-watering expense) of the larger resorts in the area. The staff are excellent and rooms are very comfortable, although some upgrading/redecorating will be necessary soon. It's worth it to book a mountain view room or a suite for views from the lanai of the Ala Wai canal and hills.

Our 2nd day, the room wasn’t cleaned when we got in at 5pm. Staff said was because we put out the sign not to have serviced despite we said we did not. They finally offered to clean the room

Clean room and convenient location. Walking distance to the beach and shopping area. The staff are all nice and helpful. We stayed 4 nights there and enjoyed time there.
