Hotel could really use some updates. Bed is very firm. Im not a fan. Pool is small and was pretty busy but there was a pool. View is amazing. Thats what your paying for here.

This was a decent hotel and the majority of the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was semi-clean. The bedspread looked as though it hadn’t been washed, there was garbage under the platform beds and someone’s dog leash and toy was left in our room. Front desk staff member would not give us a 3rd towel even though we had 3 people in our room. Hot tub was too hot and pool area needed to be cleaned. Restaurant food was fine. Good location.

It seemed half way decent at first. But then I discovered the shampoo bottle secured on the wall of the shower had been urinated in. I was appalled at this. After finishing my shower I went down to the front desk and informed the clerk of my discovery. They assured me they were going to inform the manager. But they were unwilling to give me a refund and at first were possibly willing to relocate me to a different room. Although, they were going to initially going to charge me extra for doing this. The change to the other room never happened mostly due to no follow up on the property's part and my busy schedule. So what ended up happening was that the property showed no concern for this incident and never sent a person to change out the disgusting bottle marked shampoo. We cancelled the additional night we we going to stay which they refunded at $20 less than what our nightly stay averaged out to and never offered any recompense for the situation. I would never stay in this dump again.

$50 a night hidden pet fee they don't tell you till you get there! For two dogs wow that doubled the price of the hotel room. would be nice if they mentioned that on the website! You can't beat the neat location next to the battery lighthouse though. We were the suckers who booked the 'partial oceanview king jacuzzi suite' which sounded amazing but when we checked in the front desk guy informed us it had one tiny window of some grass on the ground floor and no beachview at all, not even partial...and were we OK with that...but of course none of the better rooms were available so not like we had a choice to upgrade to a view. The room was adequate like the budget price (well budget till they doubled it with the $100 pet fee) expected it to be! Laminate flooring poorly laid down and popping up a big mud smear on the futon and a buttress mattress. That being said I'd def stay here again because being next to that lighthouse, there's nothing cooler!

I loved the room, the hot tub was incredible! Having it in the room in the comfort of privacy was amazing. The view of the ocean and hearing the ocean theoughout the night was incredible. We will definitely be back, soon!

The view is amazing but you pay for it. The animal fee is $50.00! That’s the highest I’ve ever paid. The grounds need a good cleaning and so do the windows. Cups are not individually wrapped. The sheets didn’t fit the bed.

With the beach just steps outside, the location really cannot be beat. Everyone was exceedingly friendly and the hotel was very welcoming to dogs of all sizes. We will definitely be back.

A lot of hair in the room, I'm assuming from house keepers.tub was great, bed was great... Lots of noise all night from the door on the side of the building... Didn't sleep too well, and the walls are a little thin.
Front desk was nice and pleasant.
Building still beautiful and the view outside the window was wonderful too.
Restraunt is a little overpriced for what you get. Probably won't eat or drink there again even though the chef was kind and happy.

Horrible staffing (not the actual staff) had to actually pay 5$ for Lobby coffee! Fantastic location but I’d never stay here again nor recommend it to anyone.

This hotel has an incredible location on a beautiful rocky beach near the lighthouse. The building needs a lot of maintenance. There was a rainwater leak in the dining room and the exterior paint looked like it was done by a third grader. Overspray was all over the glass windshield on our balcony. Staff was pleasant. The restaurant and bar closed early. The pantry was also closed mid evening so we were unable to get after dinner snacks. With some investment, this place would be a great place to visit more.

A lot of construction going on the pool was open one day then closed the next. Fitness center was closed the entire time. We asked for pool towels and the guy said usually we have you bring your own. The beach view is amazing! The walk to the beach is easy to access and so beautiful!! It is super quiet and relaxing. My kids loved the jetted bath. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel was dirty and run down. Loud with tile as the flooring in the hallways. Beds were uncomfortable.

This place is a serious DUMP! Guy at the front desk staring at his phone. Rooms are filthy. Hair, dirt and stains on the sheets; floors sticky; shower hadn't been clean in a very long time; bugs (alive and dead) everywhere; the balcony haphazardly painted with plexiglass obscuring view of ocean and plastic chairs that were way too big for the space; the restaurant menu specials were considerably overpriced for ones written on a dry erase board. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in…and that was only due to the fact that the only other option was a motel 6, which, in hindsight was likely the better option. Would not recommend. Better off sleeping in your car.

The hotel has not been maintained well since I was there four years ago. Dining hours were very limited compared to my previous stay, and often the kitchen staff turned everything off and left early if "there was no one in there." The website advertised a free breakfast, which is not the case. It also advertised a pool, spa, sauna and fitness center, none of which were available until the end of my stay, and then only the pool. The hot tub was barely warm, the sauna was off, and the fitness center was closed. I used a credit card to hold the reservation and my partner used his card (a different account) to pay for the week's stay. They charged my credit card anyway. This was supposed to be my Holiday present...The wait staff and the bartenders were awesome and very apologetic when the kitchen closed before the advertised time. If they could have prepared the meals, they would have. This used to be my favorite place to stay in Crescent City but no longer.

Breakfast chef wasn’t at work. Staff was double duty in dining area and registration. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash containers are watered down and basically worthless.

Took 574 dollars for a room that costs $303. Front desk people keep saying the owner refunded it. He hasn't. Haven't even heard from the manager. Son of owner went on a twenty minute racist rant is restaurant about whote people being there. My ocean view room had a view of the back parking lot.

Everything about our stay was a disappointment and subpar. We booked a room with a balcony for the view and the view was out of the side of the building, not the view of the ocean. The swimming pool, sauna and hot tub were all out of order which we were not informed of ahead of time. The WiFi kept going on and off, we had to pay for breakfast when it had said breakfast included with booking but the worst part was how cold and dirty the hotel and the surrounding area is. Attached are photos of dirty underwear and a tampon applicator that were on the property in the path to the ocean. It was disgusting.

Hotel has great beach views/ access but it’s a little outdated and not very clean. Pool wasn’t open. There was cat food/ things at front desk at check in. They have an ok restaurant and bar on 1st floor but first floor isn’t the cleanest. They have alcohol and drinks to buy in lobby but wayyy over priced.

The view from the room was amazing, after I cleaned the window. Someone should invest some TLC and money into this property. It has potential. I spent about an hour cleaning the room while my grandsons went fishing on the pier. They had a great time here but their standards are not in line with mine. I addressed the issue with the front desk and she was very polite. The owner should take a closer look at the cleanliness (housekeeping) and maintenance.

We booked thru hotels.com and not infored that the pool and whirlpool was not working. Would not have booked at over 300 for 2 nights if we had known in advance. But family still had fun.

Great upkeep of a structure so close to the ocean. Our room was clean and comfortable. No complaints we enjoyed our stay.

Property has available luggage carts to use. Older facility and maintained fairly. Off season with few guest. Our room had a half view of the ocean. Was very nice and 50 degrees.

Horrible stay. Would not stay here again. Pool is not working, and has not been working, they list a restaurant for breakfast and dinner, but it was not open.

I checked in fine but soon realized I was not getting a king room. I then spoke to the front desk and they said if I wanted a king room I needed to pay 50 dollars more even though my reservation was a king room. The room smelled like urine. It was because there was childrens luggage that wreaked of urine left in the closet. The kitchen staff saved the trip they were friendly and courteous. All in all the oceanfront hotel is a great place to stay but the conditions have worsened. The clenliness may keep me away for good.
