We had a wonderful stay at the Windsor Hotel. Perfectly positioned in Hermanus. Close to all the beautiful restaurants and whale watching points. Would definitely return to Windsor hotel.

When it’s affordable we always like to stay at Windsor because of the lovely breakfast as well as the location and the fact that it is just a lovely place! We loved the renovations!!

We literally walked into the room and checked out immediately. The room was supposedly non smoking but it stank of smoke. No restaurant open either.

Good experience overall, excellent location and sea views. Bottled water should be provided in rooms per day per person as a standard requirement with this rating. Coffee in rooms and for breakfast is disappointing.

Peace be upon you, The stay was fine except friendliness of kitchen staff serving breakfast. My wife had a simple request asking for a potato rosti. The response was not professional. Also on day 2 there was a very foul smell coming from the toilets on ground level close to the reception. Other than that, stay was ok. Kind regards

Simply amazing a TV lost it's channels and when staff couldn't fix we got upgraded to a sea view with working channels what a bonus.

The receptionist who checked us In was very unfriendly. The room looked nothing like the pictures. The room had a funny smell, the bath tub was dirty and the sheets on the bed had old blood stains on them. Not to mention there were ants all over our room. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

We did not stay here after checking in. There was a horrible smell in the lobby area and the hotel rooms are no better than a Motel 6. Very disappointing. We found a very nice place to stay just down the road for much less money as well!

Was at first allocated dismal room in annex in backyard reception uninterested and unhelpful.complained and refused room so was allocated decent room in hotel Had booked well in advance why was I sent to the backyard up a lot of stairs with no help with luggage a young man volunteered to help he was only staff member who was friendly.Will not go there agIn

This hotel has lovely old school charm and the view of the ocean is just unmatched. We saw whales from our bedroom window everyday. The hotel is within walking distance of all the restaurants. The walking trail also starts right in front of the hotel. We had a lovely stay.

In a convenient place for access to Hermanus town, and with views out over the ocean this was great place to stay. The rooms were pleasant, airy and light - and like the rest of the hotel, clean and well kept. The staff very friendly & helpful.

We stayed for two nights. Lovely old fashioned Hotel. Great views of the rugged coast from the front of the building. We stayed in the back of the hotel but I wish I had paid the extra to have ocean views. Very nice buffet style breakfast and good staff.

This hotel is located right on the water with a beautiful view. The hotel room was clean, bed was comfortable, hotel was easy to find with parking in the rear, breakfast was good, and the staff was GREAT. Walking distance to restaurants and a walkway along the water. Laundry was expensive so we opted out of doing that. I would recommend this hotel.

While maintained the property is aged and could do with an upgrade. Other than breakfast the hotel has no food offering. Staff are courtious but not friendly. Hotel is close to the town centre. Overall, its overpriced for what you get.

Gorgeous ocean view, friendly staff, great breakfast included plus complimentary glass of wine upon arrival. Easy walk to shops and highly rated restaurants. Definitely would stay here again!

Best thing about this hotel is its location. Amaxing views. Make sure to book a sea view its well worth the extra money. Short walk to the bars and restaurants. Hotel staff really friendly and helpful. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Hotel is a bit dated (blankets provided not duvets) but it has an oldie worldie feel and is full of character and charm.

Hotel was quiet, staff friendly and helpful. Even when not many guests were booked they still handled us courteously and friendly. Lovely value for money breakfast sets you up for the day of sight seeing or swimming... even lining the stomach for wine tasting nearby! Will go back and recommend to others time and time again!

We stayed for two nights, the staff were fantastic - helpful and friendly and the hotel has a great location. We stood on our balcony for an hour the morning we left watching two whales playing in the sea right in front of us. Also the parking was great and the signs as you came into Hermanus very helpful. But the hotel rooms are very tired and really need updating and the bathrooms were very poor.

The perfect location to lie in bed and watch the southern-right whales frolicking in the bay a hundred yards in front of you! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, clean adequate room, comfortable queen plus bed, all overshadowed by the most stunning view of Walker Bay towards the small quaint new harbour of Hermanus. Definitely a 'will do this again' experience!

Stayed one night in a clean, comfortable, ocean facing room. Close to restaurants and a nice path by the ocean. Beautiful buffet breakfast set-up, however we didn't have time to enjoy it.

loved the homely atmosphere of this hotel, the views are spectacular. Breakfasts are great, lots of choices. The bed was extremely comfortable. A lovely old world hotel with friendly service, great views and fabulous position.

The Expedia map indicated the hotel was more inland. In fact the Atlantic waves crashed in about 20 yards from our room. Great view.Definitely worth getting a sea view--we watched the whales from our window for hours. Then only 200 yards to a great view of the whales over the whole of Walker Bay. The highlight of our S African trip. The hotel is just a little dated, but very good breakfast buffet, and the location has to be the best in Town--for the views, the whales, and the restaurants. And we'd recommend Hermanus generally.
