We had a very relaxing stay. Loved the rocking chairs on the front porch and also on our balcony

It was old and that's why we loved it. It had a newly updated bathroom. It was quiet and cozy but in the middle of Gatlinburg within walking distance from anything.

Great location! Amazing and relaxing atmosphere! The free breakfast was delicious and a great way to start your day. Warm cookies offered in the afternoon while rocking on the front porch in front of a fireplace. Can’t wait to return.

Super cute little hotel right on the Gatlinburg strip. Room was clean, breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly

Very good place to stay! It rained part of every day we were there. One day we left our back car window down. A worker at the Inn noticed it and they contacted us to let us know. It was raining and we were up the road. But I walked back to the Inn and put the window up. Thank them for calling us. The woman at the desk gave us some towels to dry up some of the rain water in our car. Then one morning our umbrella would not work so the security guard let us borrow his and he took ours and fixed the umbrella and gave it back to us a few hours later and we gave his back. Thanks for making our stay wonderful. Has a very good hot breakfast with scrambled eggs and gravy biscuits, etc.

First time in Gatlinburg and at the property. The staff was friendly, efficient and professional. The property has a lot of history and character, including predominantly older hotel guests sitting in rocking chairs on the porch, and walls full of photos of prior celebrity guests. The room was historic with wood panel walls, but had all the conveniences that one would expect from more modern hotels. The balcony was a nice size with two rocking chairs. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom looked recently remodeled...The only (very minor) complaint would be the lack of bathroom counter space. Breakfast was quite nice with a good comfort food selection and a very spacious breakfast area (in other words, unlike other properties, we had no trouble finding a table). Finally, we were right in the center of town (and could walk everywhere) and although our room faced the main drag, we heard very little street noise (if at all). Overall the property is well maintained, the staff is courteous and we truly enjoyed our stay. We would happily stay here again.

We stayed one night and found the hotel and room very nice. The staff was great. The room was great and beds were comfortable. Our view from the balcony was just amazing! The breakfast was one of the better ones we have had at a hotel.

The Historic Gatlinburg Inn was wonderful. Tons of history and you felt like you were back 50 yrs, yet had a modern feel to it! We had a balcony room and many of the furnishings in our room are originals in excellent condition.
They had a free hot breakfast that was excellent. Fireplaces throughout. Great friendly people working there.
We highly recommend this place for your stay in Gatlinburg!

My husband and I loved the retro feel of stepping back in time from the moment we stepped in the lobby. The friendly staff; history within those walls; the furnishings and decor, all are reminiscence of a simpler era. It has the feel of a mountain ski lodge in the 1940's, and, we loved all of the common areas, which are so rare in today's modern hotels that are all about cramming in more rooms to bring in $$$, instead of bringing people together in comfortable gathering spots around warm fireplaces (and there are several of these scattered around the lobby area, dining rooms, even outside under the covered porch). They were especially appreciated since we had extremely cold temps and snow while we were there for the long weekend!!
How are the beds in a historic hotel with antique furnishings? LIKE HEAVEN!! I slept better than I do at home on that comfy mattress!!
The location is wonderful! Centrally located on the main parkway, so a stroll in either direction is quick and easy, and gets to you to unique shops, great restaurants, and lots of fun entertainment!! Parking was easy, and we never moved our vehicle due to the convenient location.
We just can't say enough about our experience at Gatlinburg Inn, and can't wait for our next visit!!

We stayed here for the location but fell in love with the quaint vibes of the place. The rooms were comfortable and decorated in an authentically vintage taste. The free breakfast was good. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, although a little lazy at the front desk. Would definitely stay here again. Wish there was a hot tub, though.

It's like going back in time, circa 1972. Just a really neat place. Our room was no frills, just simple and clean. Staff was really friendly. Excellent location, right in the middle of the strip and close to everything! That was awesome. The Skylift Park is right next door so you can go up to the top of the mountain. Very cool.
Our personal experience only had one bad thing: the walls are paper-thin. Definitely request a room on the TOP FLOOR so no one is above you. It was only quiet from 3am to 7am. Any walking above/beside us sounds like elephants or construction so I hardly slept. Loud white noise or earplugs needed.
I later read about a possible haunting, which explains something odd that happened in the middle of the night... 😀
The free hot breakfast is awesome, and served in a beautiful sunlit room. Nicer than many places you'd pay for! The porch is gorgeous, with a great outdoor fireplace and rocking chairs.
We would stay there again, just doing the top floor and earplugs. Oh, and i might bring my own softer sheets. Ours were like sandpaper. 😞
But yes, I recommend it!

I picked this hotel because it was located next to the sky lift and space needle. The location was perfect, staff was friendly, breakfast was on point and the bed was comfy. My only negative remark would be the walls are paper thin and our neighbors snored so loud it was hard to sleep.

Room heater was in poor condition.. I mean, the hotel is old... Its a very cool place with its history but it could be better..Perfect Location

We didn’t know what to expect in the resort, but when we got there it took us back to a day when hotels were elegant and service was the very tenet hotels were famous for. We definitely enjoyed the breakfast bar and the availablilty of hot and cold drinks were 24-7. The Historic Gatlinburg Inn was well worth the price we paid. An overall great stay.

Our favorite place to stay in Gatlinburg! So convenient… you can walk to everything! The hotel has a very Rustic feel as it should being built in 1937. Staff is wonderful, rooms are clean and the breakfast is delicious!

We started out in an Airbnb and it was terrible. We wanted to try a new place. We left early and went to this place we call it our place. It is easy to walk everywhere or sit in front of the fire and a wonderful full breakfast.

Rooms were quaint but dusty.
Tv service was horrible. Picture was terrible.
Bathtubs need safety rails and to remove shower doors. They were dirty.
The staff was excellent tho.
The breakfast and breakfast staff were outstanding.
The slidd as I got food leading to a small patio wouldn’t lock.
Need better locks on entry door also.

The hotel is quite nice and has a lot of stories. The living room is comfortable with historic furniture.

Parking inconvenient for someone with lots of luggage or unable to walk long distance. Room had no mini-fridge or security latch on door. Floors very uneven with large gap at bottom of door. Employees very friendly & helpful. Breakfast very good.

It was great being in the middle of town on the Parkway. We did not have to worry about finding parking in order to shop or eat out. The hotel was convenient to everything. Everyone was nice. We had a great experience while staying there!

Everyone was very friendly and the hotel was extremely clean. This is always a great choice!

Loved the location but due to the age of this hotel..the walls are very thin, no insulation…so we heard everything from others staying next to us and above us!

Built in 1937, and hasn’t been updated since. Smells like a nursing home and dirty wet mop. Front desk attendants were slow and rude.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I love the convenience of where it is located but I mostly loved the old resort feel. Very well maintained. I will definitely be back.
