Beautiful room, well appointed, the staff were lovely. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is located right in the middle of the old fort area, despite this the rooms were quiet. The pool was lovely & great to escape the heat of the day. The meals at the restaurant were excellent. Great value for the quality of hotel. Highly recommended!

We booked 3 nights on 2 separate bookings. For the first 2 nights we were upgraded to a room in the main building.Thoroughly well run hotel with attention to detail. Nothing too much trouble for them. They seemed to be falling over themselves to be nice to us.Hotel situated in the centre of Galle Fort. Tastefully converted building. Super pool, great for cooling off. Good breakfast included - we opted for the Sri Lankan Hoppers with mango lassi etc.

Welcoming hotel in old town Galle, in very pretty surroundings with a small pool area. We stayed in the suites down the street which were clean and comfortable but we missed a coffee maker and the locks didn’t really work. Breakfast was a la carte and the bar served fresh cappuccino. Really nice staff at the pool and restaurant!

Amazing hotel in the middle of Galle Fort. Service was one of the best. Extra thanks to Madushan and Petar. We were encouraged to visit the sister hotel, Kurulu Bay. And we had an amazing afternoon and evening there. The food in the restaurant both at the Printers and at Kurulu was the best we have had in Sri Lanka so far. We will be back!

The hotel is a little oasis in a historic building close by the fort. We had a church room with a very high ceiling and one of the nicest bathrooms I have ever had. There were quite a few mosquitoes, but luckily, the bed had a net. The meal prices are expensive for Sri Lanka but the pavlova was excellent. The building really has character and I can see why it appeared in Condé Nast Traveller. Although small, we really enjoyed the coolness of the swimming pool. We were even able to get a free late checkout. As for the location: you can very easily walk to the fort and then make your way around the city to the lighthouse and walk back through the center (best time is sunset). Overall, we were very happy and would highly recommend this hotel.

This is a beautiful hotel. Full of history and very well decorated. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and the staff is super nice and friendly. If you're looking for a hotel around Galle look no further, trust me...you won't regret it :)

This was perhaps my favourite hotel experience in many years of travelling. The building and decor is very tasteful given the history of the area. The staff are very attentive and happy to lend any assistance you may need. Highly recommend if you enjoy historical and unique hotel experiences.

I don't know where to begin when everything about The Fort Printer exceeded expectations...and I already had high expectations. If you're considering this hotel you're probably looking at the property and I can assure you that it's every bit as beautiful as it appears in the photographs. On top of that, the service is unparalleled in Sri Lanka. The staff are personable, friendly and attentive. The food and options for dining are fantastic. I enjoyed my a la carte dinner of Lobster curry, and the Sri Lankan breakfast was wonderful as well. The Fort Printers is well located within the Galle fort with clothing and tricket shops close by, as well as other fine dining establishments like The Merchant and Pedlar's Cafe. The ramparts are a short walk in either direction of the hotel. Book a stay here. You won't regret it!

The Fort Printers was totally renovated during the pandemic. The public spaces are tastefully appointed and the room was nice (polished concrete floors and walls and minimalist furnishings). We’d liked the hotel although the food was just ok, especially for the price. We’d been traveling in Sri Lanka for a month and generally had better food elsewhere but overall a pleasant stay.

This is an excellent, stylish boutique hotel located right in the heart of the fort. Great shopping all around, very friendly and helpful hotel staff, quality and charming restaurant for dinner as well as a high end a la carte breakfast that was included. The property is very well decorated and the staff went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. They even organized us a PCR test to come to the lobby and take care of it for us prior to our flight so we didn't have to go to the hospital.

This was a beautiful property right in the middle of the action. Great restaurant, bar and pool area. My room was spacious with a much desired bathtub. Staff and management were friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back!
