I knew as soon as I opened the door that it was clean. I could smell it. It’s an older motel but nice. The only issues I had was the shower was too narrow and the curtain kept sticking to me, but the water was hot and good pressure. The other one was I couldn’t figure out the tv but after clicking buttons and seeing some channels there were very few to watch. I didn’t find any for kids. Overall, it was a good stay.

The motel was as expected for a budget motel. Some cleanliness issues around the sink. Lack of microwave, not enough pillows, small tv. BUT....it was inexpensive, staff was friendly enough and met the basic needs. Super close to everything so that was convenient because parking is absolutely crap in that town. Greedy town. The review won't let me add a photo

Great location, across from the National Soldier's Cemetery and within easy walking distance of town. Nice local operation.

Customer service was poor- the attendant at the front desk took a personal call AND took a call from their boss while checking us in and was yelling at both people because they “didn’t feel good”. Cleanliness was okay- clean towels and blankets, but the shower walls had dirt grime on them and there was small black facial or pubic hair in the tub. There were facial hair trimmings around the sink. Thankfully we didn’t need to use the air conditioner, but it appeared to have visible black mildew in it. Beds were comfortable, room only had about 3 available outlets, water pressure was poor, and the door locks were very hard to unlock with the key (not card… good ol’ key). Good location though, in the heart of Gettysburg. Will likely not be staying here again.

Its a hole in the wall, the room is no frills but its cheap as hell clean and a great spot near both battlefields and downtown. The walls are a bit thin so If youre traveling on the budget its pretty great.

In my opinion, this place should be the standard for all reasonably priced hotel motels. Clean, a staff that is always present that made me feel very safe. Not so much as a piece of peeling paint, visible. Does not look rundown or neglected in anyway! Perfectly walkable to downtown Gettysburg. Such a fun town and in my opinion that is the best secret in Pennsylvania. Always something going on and fun fun fun. I will definitely stay at this place again.

Our stay was okay. The bed was not very comfortable. It served our purpose and placed us at the outside edge of Gettysburg for the first two days of the Christmas Festival.

The room was very outdated, including the bedspread complete with cigarette burns in it. No breakfast provided. Staff was very friendly but the owner was rude and ill-mannered. The location is the appeal.

A very basic hotel. It was missing a lot of the basic items like a phone, clock radio and no password for the Wi-Fi a mini fridge that barely kept anything cold. Now I was staying in the room right next to the office which is different from the other rooms I have stayed in years past. For the money it’s worth it. It’s right in the middle of town with everything within walking distance

The location is amazing. Very walkable to all of the local places in town. Good parking lot. Good prices. I could hear everything happening next door and outside of my door. I can tell you when my neighbor’s alarm went off, when they showered, and hear muffled conversations. It was not ideal, but we used a white noise app the second night and it was bearable. Breakfast is offered- coffee and pastries. Nothing fancy, but it’s a nice touch. I felt the service was rigid. Called us to know when we’d arrive. Absolutely no late checkout. We tried to checkout before our tours and no one was there, so we had to come back between tours to turn in the keys because they wouldn’t let us come at 11:30 when our second tour ended. Stay here if you prioritize price and location. It’s a great deal and it is in the perfect spot!

The hot water was not functional. Because I wanted to shower at 11:00 pm, it was too late to remedy situation. Chuck, the maintenance person, was sincerely apologetic the next morning.

Location is excellent, right on State Circle across from the Capitol building. Lovely staff. Everything is walkable from there. A minor problem with the door unlock mechanism to my room. Took multiple tries each time to gain entry.

People sat outside our door smoking cigarettes and talking loudly. They left their trash right outdide our door. I asked a man outside a question and i was told by him to "leave me alone!" "Get out of here!" Was frightened and felt uncomfortable to be outside alone around him. It appeared that he worked there. Strange atmosphere. No one was in the office most of the time. The only good thing about this place is the location!

We have been staying here for many years. Although the property looks dated from the outside, we find this hotel provides great value and great location! The employees are friendly and helpful, and the location can't be beat for shopping, location and touring Gettysburg.

I stayed at this property when I was 10. It was cute then, but now as I am older this property has lost its cuteness! No in room amenities except for a fridge, coffee only available in the office area during breakfast, large empty Folgers coffee cans outside each room for cigarette butts! Office manager called me en route to inquire what time I would be arriving! I guessed at 5pm and asked if there was an issue. He said no, that he wanted to make sure someone was in the office when we arrived! Really? Check in after 2pm so I’d expect someone there. Never had that in all my years of booking a hotel! He also made no mention of breakfast, which was coffee and Hostess danishes! No mention of driving off the property which is tricky, no mention of anything! As much as we love Gettysburg, we will not stay there again! My kudos to Chuck the housekeeper, who was not only friendly and caring about our stay, but because of a hot water issue, came to work on his day off! Thanks Chuck, you were the bright spot in our stay!

Pros: Close to the tourist attractions, tidy, pet-friendly; nice, small pet area, pleasant staff, good heater, parking close to room, mon-smoking rooms that did not have a musty or stale smell Cons: out-dated and eccletic in what updates there were, slow toilet (pull handle up to flush), sink spout sprays, no charging stations for devices, very out-dated electrical outlets, little frig electric not properly grounded, no microwave, no bags or trash container or lights for pet area at night, beds were very uncomfortable, plastic for one of the full bed instead of normal mattress pad cover, old towels and old, lumpy pillows (bring your own), one price online, but I ended up paying almost twice than was stated.

Checkin was very easy. Room was very clean - but there was a very strong aroma from the cleaning solvent that by the morning had given me a headache. There was no blow dryer in the room. Hadn't been given instructions as to what to do with the key at checkout (yes, an actual key, not a card). We left early and the office was unmanned, closed and locked. We put the key in the mail slot. We would stay here again.

We knew this wasn’t going to be The Ritz, but were put off by outdated condition of room. Ground floor motel room had only ONE window: facing parking lot, no screen, broken lock. A WINDOW air conditioner was installed through the wall above the sink where we (at 5’5”) could just barely reach it. But reaching it didn’t really matter because it had touch controls on a smooth white surface that had NO words on it — you just had to press on the white surface until something did something, but you couldn’t tell whether you were controlling Cooling vs Fan Only vs Timer… Small refrigerator, but coffeemaker or microwave; had to ask for a hairdryer; an outlet that was loose in the wall with no cover plate. Desk clerk/manager tried to resolve issues, but THIS MOTEL NEEDS TO BE UPDATED AND NEEDS GENERAL MAINTENANCE! Checked out after 1 night of a planned 3-night stay.

For a 1 night stay, it was fine. Our room was clean and recently updated. The location is great. We could walk to everything to shops, restaurants and museums in less than 10 minutes. The beds were comfortable although the bedding had a lot of stains. The AC was ridiculously loud and kept me up all night. The staff were very friendly, but the main office seemed super short staffed. It took 15 minutes for anyone to even realize I was there for check out.

The location is perfect for visiting the battlefields and cemetery and historic area. All are walking distance. Parking is excellent and staff are very friendly and responsive to requests. The room has everything you need and is spacious.
