We loved our retro motel. Stayed for one night, but wished we could’ve stayed longer to better enjoy the kitchen and front porch. We had Room 4 with a queen bed which felt great, soft but with crisp sheets.

What a great find. This small motel is clean with modern conveniences. And a continental breakfast is provided right to your room. Comfortable bed and cool mid century modern furnishings in the room I stayed in.

Stayed a few nights with my husband while in the are. It is absolutely adorable and very well put together. My only thing is I’d have loved a hook in the bathroom and maybe a tiny fold down shelf for my make up. Bath robe, slippers, breakfast basket, ice…. Everything was thought of.

Always a pleasure staying here. Megan was awesome and very courteous. Anytime I visit Grass Valley the Pines is my go to. They're extremely pet friendly, and the continental breakfast is always a nice touch.

Birthday weekend for my husband and it was exceptional! The room is super cute and clean. the outside is cute and relaxed. I would definitely stay here again. Megan was amazing too ty.

This place is a gem! It is so cute for two people. The staff are so helpful. They have thought of little details to make your stay complete. They bring you a small breakfast of your choice. I had the make your own pancakes (enough for two ppl) and my husband had the yogurt, granola and fruit. We will stay here again!!!!

The team at Pines (Megan especially) were so lovely. We drove up from LA and knew we were going to get in late. They set up the room, including breakfast for the next morning, and processed payment. We were able to walk in to a clean, warm, beautiful room with food after a long drive. We want to come back again and explore the grounds, "honor" bar and rest of the property.

So cozy and comfortable!!! Wonderful amenities and a nice place to call home at the end of the day. Loved the privacy of our room and the views outside the window.

Upon arriving, the exterior looks a little sketchy but I think some of that was the tree leaves that were all over. They might have had some weather blow through I don't know. The rooms are nice and clean, Kitchen area was fine too. The staff was spot on helpful and friendly. The website states that it is within walking distance to town. I wouldn't want to walk it. I would stay there again.

Quaint little place with great atmosphere. Not far from town. Walkable. There was a tail-less cat that visited. Everyone I dealt with was friendly. The place was clean. A lovely experience. My only regret is that I didn't stay for more than a day.

This was a charming and comfortable cottage so unlike the generic motel and hotel rooms that are so alike you would never know if you were staying in one part of the country or another. Loved it!

Loved this quaint little property! The managers were amazing. Allowed me to check in early for a wedding and we’re so sweet about it. They bring you a cute little snack to the room too for breakfast. Would definitely stay here again if I was in the area! Our room was perfect for just my husband and I. Kitchen had everything too! Highly recommend!

This property is amazing! My wife and I stayed in the one bedroom cottage this time. What a treat! It's like staying at a B&B. James was a fantastic host. The bagels and fruit left in our room for breakfast were delightful. Plenty of amenities to choose from. There is a hammock, a gazebo with relaxing music, cornhole and patio swings. The location is close to downtown, but it is on a main drive, so traffic can be a bit noisy. That being said, looking forward to spending more time here in the future.

This place is awesome. The host James was friendly and made for a quick and easy check-in. The grounds are so cute, with seating all around. Nice outdoor lighting and soft music planning in the background. I rented the cottage and it was perfect. So cute, inviting and cozy. Very clean as well. The bed was so so comfortable. We were given bagels and yogurt for the morning, such a nice touch. I really cannot say enough about the place! I will be staying here again, hopefully soon. Loved everything about it!

This place is a gem! Clean, hidden, cozy! Can't say enough about the property. Sitting areas everywhere. Nice lighting at night. Music played quietly during the evening and early night in the gardens. Absolutely lovely. James was wonderful, very helpful. I felt like I was at a very special place. Only downside is the street next to it can get a little noisy. The units are hidden behind fences and trees. You are surrounded by redwoods and pines. Great find in Grass Valley.

I love my little room at the Pines Inn. It had everything I needed to get away from being a busy mom for a few days. I had a full kitchen, a chair for reading, a very comfy bed and even a little kitchen table. It was 110 degrees out, so I didn't get to enjoy the outdoors, but it looked super inviting! I hope to go back soon.
