Our experience at this hotel wasn't the best. For starters, we were given a dog room. I am a dog person. I have a dog who is a member of our family. I like dogs. I really do. However, I do not enjoy walking into a room that smells like wet dog. I would never allow my dog to smell so putrid. The cleanliness also seem to reflect that we were in a dog room. Another negative experience came when we went to the pool. The pool slide was randomly closed for maintenance. We booked this hotel for the slide. I would never have booked this hotel had I known the slide would be closed. This information should be disclosed prior to booking. My kids were severely disappointed and honestly I was too. I was looking forward to riding the slide with my kids. We also received a door ding in our car due to limited parking. The one positive experience we'd had at this hotel was the breakfast. It was extremely clean and well taken care of. I could tell that the breakfast attendant truly wanted to serve the best breakfast possible.

Everything is close by to the shopping area and dining. It is walkable if you plan on walking. Lots of parking space and feel very safe. Staffs are very helpful. Rooms are very comfortable and clean.

Seems to be a newer property and very well maintained. My room was nice sized with updated bathroom layout and fixtures. The area is mostly shopping malls (if you like that). Overall great place to stay!

We had a great time and the location was just right. However, the checkin person did not tell us that the hotels were connected and we came off the elevator and ended up in the other Hilton. Then we were told that the hallways had different colors. Our room was most definitely a smoked in room and I thought it smelled terrible whenever we walked back in. We were told that we would be charged a fee if we smoked in this room!!!

We usually like to stay at a Hampton Inn because, like this one, it rarely disappoints. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and quiet. The beds were super comfy. The breakfast was yummy!

We always stay at Hampton inns we like them we love their breakfasts Don't ever change breakfast or how you offer it it's exceptional without any question. The property is new okay but the property was very clean The room was very clean made well I really can't complain about anything about the property if you're looking to stay here excellent choice enjoy. The staff was very friendly I have no problems with them whatsoever they're a great employees I hope they're being paid well.

The hotel was very clean and the bed was so comfortable!! The breakfast was also pretty good. We went to the pool and it had a water slide which was fun! Parking is free too.

Very dissatisfied and disappointed with our Hampton inn stay in rapid city. First out room stuck like aftershave and we could not air the room Out as they do not allow you to Open the windows. Then We had to be moved to a new room. I left to I colorectal with my daughter and my wife stayed in the new room. A few minutes later someone with a key walked in on my wife. They had been issued the same room and given a key. Thankfully she was not changing when they walked in. I’m the morning there was a sign in the breakfast area which said they would honour special diets. My wife and daughter are gluten free and dairy free. So We asked what they had for gf options. We were told “none”! The sign says you can attend to Special diets! But they could not offer any assistance despite they sign. Fortunately we had a cooler and a box of chex so My daughter had cereal for breakfast. Overall very disappointed with our rapid city Hampton experience We stayed aug 17-18 2023. I will say though despite being VERY noisy. The pool was great and my daughter loved the slide. But I would not stay there again - Please don’t offer special diets then not deliver. And please don’t let others in our room!

The location was near restaurants and other tourist attractions. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our room was clean in all the important areas like the bathrooms and beds, linens were fresh, and floors. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and AC worked well. Unfortunately, our room smelled strongly of cat urine. Knowing they were full because of Sturgis, we didn't complain. We just bought some febreeze and tried to tolerate it. This hotel does allow pets so I suppose that's something you might have to consider when booking a room here. On a positive note, the breakfast was better than most with protein options and fresh waffles that our kids really enjoyed. The warm pool with a slide was a bonus for our family. Overall, it was a nice stay and for a 2 star hotel, you probably can't find much better than this place.
