It was an amazing experience, I’ve never stayed in any hostal and I tried this for the first time , and it was absolutely incredible. Service is excellent and you feel safe in the hostal . Amalia is a amazing host and the transport to the airport was on time . highly recommended.

Amalia and her husband offer travelers a wonderful, comfortable place to stay. Cuba can be challenging, but their hostal provides a safe, clean night’s rest. Amalia is an excellent cook as well. The convenience to the airport was an added bonus for us.

I was amazed by this hotel, the people are extremely helpful and caring, they will do their best to have a good stay. I really enjoyed my stay in Cuba and I will go back for sure. I also love their Ropa vieja, delicious.

Highly Highly recommend Hostal Dona Amalia.. our hosts go over and above to make everything go smooth and make us feel like family, from pick up at airport to drop off we had a fabulous time at this extremely clean and friendly place. Great, spotlessly clean rooms just 6 - 7 minutes from the airport. Exactly what we needed for our last night in Cuba. We also took advantage of a very nice homecooked dinner . They also win the best bathroom award for our stay in Cuba :) Armando (husband/owner) spoke great English which was helpful before and during our travels. &&Very important that you keep the directions and phone info that you receive from the Hostal.

We stayed two days at Amalia’s hostal on a visit to take much needed food and medical supplies for my elderly mother in law. My wife and I are very happy to have stayed with them. They are the best hosts we have ever had in Cuba. We highly recommend them to anyone. We were treated with respect, and kindness. Just like family. Thank you so much. We will see you on our next trip.

The owners are amazing folks and go the extra mile. The owner is an amazing cook and her meals are fabulous. Her vegetable soup was my favorite. Rooms were great and spacious bathrooms. I can’t say enough! They are amazing!

We booked this property for a stay after arriving in Havana. We were very lucky and fortunate (and grateful) that although we were delayed many hours and arrived in the early hours the owner was able to let us in and look after us. It is a very convenient location for the airport but you do need a taxi and try and have a map to help them find it. The accommodation is simple but spacious and has all you need. The breakfast was superb and the owner helped by arranging a cab for the next day.

The property is very lovely reslly well kept by the family. Its close to the airport so lots of people with short stay over were there.. There internet was a big problem and only Spanish on the the TV channels. Otherwise it was a great stay.

I absolutely LOVED my stay here!! The property grounds were beautiful, as well as the hotel room! The room and bathroom were very large and beautifully decorated! The outside, covered bar/restaurant in the front of the house was amazing. I purchased the best mango juice that I have ever had for $2 USD! And I purchased a delicious ham and cheese sandwich for $4 USD! The Food and drink were delicious and reasonably priced. The fact that I didn't have to leave the property for anything was so great. Hostal Dona Amalia also provides rides to the airport for $10 USD! I would stay here again! I loved my stay here so much! Wonderful owners!

Cleanest hotel i have seen and the owners are very nice person. Lunch is very unique with plenty food on the table. I will defenetly make it my first stay upon returning to Havana.
