I wish we had been told in advance that there was a major music festival happening directly across the street from our hotel that blocked our view, made it hard to cross the street, and so much traffic. That said, the Rivera restaurant in the hotel is excellent and Alex, our server, was great.

We really enjoyed the staff from check in to wait and service staff. Everyone was very helpful, pleasant attitude. The room itself was beautiful. I could tell the carpet needed cleaning. I have a sensitive nose. overall stay and service was wonderful. We had a great time.

Overall I was disappointed with this property considering the costly daily rate. I expected a much more sophisticated and luxurious experience. There was no conceirge; that task was left to the people behind the check-in desk and luggage runner. The restaurant at the hotel was mediocre at best. I ordered a drink and after 25 min and multiple requests i finally received it in a dirty glass and there were other issues with the meal that day. My main disappointment was with the room i reserved. The picture on the website had a beautiful oceanfront view with balcony, but instead i received a "construction view" and a partial view of both the ocean and intercontinental. After my complaint to the GM, I noticed the picture on the website was changed to a more realistic depiction of the view from the room they said we booked (which we didn't). The revised picture still does not include the lot which is full of construction and not nearly completed and a lot of noise. Thankfully, they finally moved us into the correct room halfway thru our stay. I feel this property is not worth the money and I would choose somewhere else on my next trip to Ft. lauderdale. However it is directly across the street from the beach (beach umbrellas are $30/day and not included in the resort fee). The rooms and hallways were clean, however we did have small ants in the room. I also would have appreciated being treated in a more respectful manner with some of the staff that i dealt with.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. I was placed in a handicapped room which I didnt want and was told there were no other options until the following day. Parking was valet only and pricy.

The hotel and rooms are awesome! Sean the bell man was great! All the staff was awesome and friendly as well. I would recommend the balcony oceanfront room. Spectacular view and room! Only small complaint would be the road outside the balcony rooms can be a little loud at night. Nothing the hotel can do about that but for $500/night it would have been nice to have it more quiet. Overall the hotel is spectacular would highly recommended!

I book it on Expedia paid over $500.00 a night a week before I left I check it again it was $300 I ask the manager he said it’s supply and demand I book ahead of time ask him if he can do anything he said again supply, and demand, and walk away rooms are not worth $500 a night and it smelled bad much better hotels in the area and a lot cheaper

Great location and wonderful hotel. We stayed for 6 days and had a lovely time. Lots of restaurants in walking distance, valet parking made it easy to grab our car on the couple of occasions when we wanted to go out. Great stay.

The hotel was located in a prime area of the city with lots to do around. The hotel was clean and the decor was tasteful. I would only have to say that the rooms were not made unless asked which I found a little bizarre. We had to constantly ask for towels, toilet paper, etc. Other than that it was fine. The view from the room was amazing and the balconies were huge.

The good, the location is outstanding, the yoga and bikes included with the resort fee were phenomenal. The downsides, we had 4 in our room but only received perks for 2. When we went to the beach, we only received 2 chairs (would have to pay for the other 2). We received only enough drink tickets for 2 people. And the free drinks, were oddly limited. The pool is nice but receives very little sunshine, the few chairs that receive the sun, are taken early. And don’t drive a pickup, the on-site hotel prking doesn’t accept them. And the communication is not great at check-in, on our last night an employee told us if we go to the Casablanca Cafe he has free drink tickets, too bad we went there 2 nights ago. Would have been nice to know.

Very clean, friendly staff, great location, excellent pool and beach. Went for a long weekend getaway. Would go back. The balcony rooms look nice. Mine was oceanfront, no balcony. Very spacious. Restaurant is good. Only did breakfast there. Outdoor seating option is great.

The pool area is very shaded and messy. Not very safe or disabled friendly. Experienced a false fire alarm and had to walk seven flights of stairs at 3:20 AM.

Pro: I generally don't expect much from the on-property restaurant, but all of our meals at Riveria were excellent. We had at least one meal there each day of our stay, d/t the convenience and tasty preparations. Con: 6-10 minutes for shower water to heat up. Seems a terrible waste (of water, and my time).

We arrived in some pretty bad high wind and rainy conditions. Although the weather was disappointing, my review has nothing to do with that. All of the staff and facilities were great. I was a bit disappointed in the restaurant/bar offerings. I think having more options which would include more lighter fare for those munchie moments would have been great. To be fare, there are many such eateries on the strip had the weather been more cooperative. I was disappointed that there wasn’t a complimentary coffee station available in house. 2 cups of coffee or a small pot to go were the same price at a little over $15. On day 2 I learned that there was a Starbucks next door who got any further business

Our family of 14 stayed one night at the Hotel Maren before our cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale. We loved the hotel and thought it was beautiful, conveniently located, and we really enjoyed our stay. We will come again. Two comments...we wish the pool and pool bar were open later than 5pm and 7 pm. Also, at breakfast the service in the hotel restaurant was slow and not what we would have expected.
