It was awesome place

Some highlights of the property are that it’s very clean and located within minutes of many attractions in Gatlinburg. The little river view from the balcony is awesome.

Good hotel. Loved the balcony and creek. No problems at all.

Overall, it’s a decent place for the price, good location on the creek, walk to Ole Red or Anakeesta. Nice Thai restaurant next door with creek views. The room was nothing fancy, balconies not very private. Windows did not open and there was an annoying router box with blinking lights that was not conducive for rest. Had to call when I arrived because no one was in the office. The clerks were polite but barely professional, which seems to be the norm these days. Probably would choose another place next time but it was OK for a brief stay.

Check in was fast and easy. Room was ok, shower knobs loose, didn’t drain and water pressure was low. We enjoyed the patio and the creek in the back.

The location of the hotel is in a prime spot and the balcony with a view of the creek was gorgeous. However, it needs some updating and deep cleaning. The drain to the shower did not work well at all. You would be standing in six inches of water at a time. Also, the tile flooring was also pretty dirty.

Loved the location. Had a funny smell like mildew in the bathroom. Lighting in the room was poor.

This is a hidden gem in Gatlinburg. Cost effective and nice place to stay. Staff can work on being more friendly but its okay

Very good experience. I always stay here when I’m in Gatlinburg. Only concern I have which I have not had at a hotel is my 100.00 incidental charge went through as a charge on my credit card. Any hotel I’ve stayed at it stays in pending. So hopefully that is put back in my card. Other than that , perfect service , great hotel. Right on the river.

I have stayed here twice. I noted the great price, location and the fantastic creek outside, while complaining about the cleanliness and small room, in an earlier review. Those things are still true, but it occurred to me on this last stay that I needed to think about this hotel differently. It's essentially like staying in an RV parked in a good spot. The inside is small with tracked-in dirt, and lacking some amenities. But the price is low, and the running stream by the balcony is a real treat. So don't expect luxury or even some basics in the room, like a table to eat or do work on. But if you think about it as camping, you'd be very happy to get a quiet spot right on the water in a location close to the center of town.

The accommodations were wonderful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Every room has a creek view which it lite beautifully at night. Clean rooms. Bathroom area newly redone. We will be returning. A full length mirror would be helpful as well as a small table for the balcony. But please do not consider that a negative. We were very pleased. Also bonus that it is located just outside or past the main stripe and quiet.

I am just going to say that after reading all the BADD reviews on this place it had me weary about creating a reservation but I said hmm let me just book and make my own judgment bc EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT AND HAVE DIFFERENT Aspect on things! YOU CANT PLEASE EVERYONE SO I WENT AHEAD AND MADE MY RESERVATION &drove 8 hours checked in and got to my room and was veryyy impressed! The river in the back of balcony was very nice and the sound of it was very relaxing! The room was clean and EVERYTHING WORKED! We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed an extra night at this hotel! Please form your own review don’t believe the horror stories that you read on here about this hotel! My onlyyyyyyy onllyyyyy downfall was the ladies in the front office at check in seem to not be so friendly and didn’t provide the customer service I expected! She was rude & made me feel like I was a bother to her when I asked her a question before signing for my payment on my room but. I didn’t let her rain on my parade! KEEP IN MIND YES THIS HOTEL DOES CHARGE A 100.00 incidental deposit but what hotel don’t these days but hotels.com does not tell you that so just making sure you’re aware! Overall I’ll be back for my next stay here! TBH if your the bougie type, you may wanna go say at the 5star hotels with the 5 star pricing but for me I’ll be back here bc it was clean comfy great location and relaxing and great price ! I’m leaving pictures but don’t mind the guys in it😜

This place is a hidden gem. Every room has a balcony overlooking a very cool creek. Staff was great, quiet area, short walk downtown, clean rooms. It’s an older hotel but compared to some of the newer ones it’s very well maintained. Definitely gonna book again

We enjoyed our stay. Room was big and clean. In walking distance to downtown so no need to drive and pay to park or deal with traffic

It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. $100 hold on a credit card once you get there. It was very close to Gatlinburg that was the good thing. It was pretty ran down but cleanish. The blankets were dirty and stained... TV barely worked but that's whatever. We didn't spend much time in the room though.

Nice creek view Great rate

The online photos are deceiving. It is a very old building in a great location. The room was basically clean but with an old musty chair. We felt uncomfortable in the room. The worst part was it was advertised as fully refundable on the 3rd party site but no so at the Inn. We reluctantly stayed because we didn't want to forfeit our money. The river view was ok but not worth it. I wouldn't stay there again.

This is the second year that my kids and I stayed at Bear Creek Inn for a night on spring break. Clean room, location is great.. every room on top of the creek.. awesome!

Rooms were dirty. There were bugs in our refrigerator. Went to front desk and alerted them of this and were supposed to have someone show up the next morning to clean around 8am. No one ever showed. Walls had chipped paint, dirty floors, hair left in bathroom, crumbs and food under the cushion of dirty chair in corner. Didn’t feel comfortable setting anything on floor.

The room had dirty floors, dead bugs on the curtains the chair is the room had a large stain on the seat cushion. The room smelled like cigarette smoke and it was a non smoking room. The towels smelled, the ceiling tiles in the bathroom were tiles open. The vending machine was out of water and there was no complimentary water or options for water to drink. The sheets were not clean looking. Would not stay again for $160 a night this was terrible.

Decent hotel beautiful view from balcony, bed comfortable. Room was clean, but the floors needed mopped for sure.

I liked the balcony view, staff, and convenience of everything. However, the room needs the floor cleaned and furniture needs dusted because I couldn’t keep my nose from itching! Otherwise I would recommend.

Never again!!!!!!!!! The only thing good is the air conditioner worked great. Dirty, is the best explanation.

Manager was terrible! We booked a stay for 3 nights and our first night was bad, we got 3 hrs of sleep. We listened to loud bangs over and over from a room above us until 2 am. We believed it was possibly two kids jumping off the beds, running up and down the stairs and slamming door’s. Called the office at 1 am to complain & no one answered, the office was closed. No emergency number was listed on the paperwork he gave us.The Manager was already very short with us at check in (I’m assuming because he was sick) but even ruder when I contacted him the next morning about our sleepless night we had. He never even apologized or offered to move us he said he would “investigate” and get back to us. He NEVER called me back. It’s a shame because the property is beautiful and the beds were soft and the rooms were clean. The property was perfect but management ruined it for us and we won’t be back. I truly hope the owner reads this and finds a Better person to manage that property that appreciates and cares about the customers. This man didn’t care at all. From start to finish the manager was rude, Arrogant and snarky. He never smiled one time. Kindness goes a long way. We’ll stay elsewhere next time we’re in Tennessee.

They did try and update these rooms, photos are deceiving. The ceiling was stained with water marks, was worried about mold, the room had a strong oder. We found another hotel near by and did not end up staying because of the condition of room.

Nice little place only walking distance from downtown Gatlinburg. The creek running so closely is wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless, would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Inexpensive stay -- how you'll feel about it depends on how much you value the creek outside the room, versus the subpar room itself. The creek is pretty with a relaxing rushing water sound, and for a few hours at night there are colored lights that add to the experience. The water itself is not accessible from the property -- it rushes too fast to be safe anyway. There's a balcony overlooking it from your room, which would be wonderful on warm days, altho there is no privacy. The walk to downtown Gatlinburg is doable for most in 5-10 minutes. The downside is that the room itself was small, worn and not very clean. And my standards as a single guy aren't that high... The TV got a seemingly random selection of only a dozen or so channels, with no ESPN or many other standard options. No desk so I had to use the ironing board for my computer work. On the plus side, the wifi was very strong. To be fair, I did get the cheapest room category, so others may be in better condition. However I don't get the feeling there's a lot of attention to detail here. But I have to say that creek is nice!
