The property includes a full one-acre yard with countless colorful birds coming and going throughout each day. You will have the entire home all to yourself. And once you arrive, you will quickly understand why our guests keep coming back. The Brickyard House is a peaceful retreat. Whether you are booking a longer stay or a quick getaway, we think you will greatly appreciate the carefully thought out amenities that this home offers. The Brickyard House has a full kitchen: stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, large sink, full size refrigerator with freezer, basic spices, coffee pot plus coffee and filters, a variety of hot tea options, pots, pans, dishes, drinking glasses, toaster, and blender.
The Brickyard House also has laundry in house if you are booking a longer stay. There is a stackable washer and dryer unit, as well as laundry detergent and dryer sheets, available for your use.
Outside, there is a patio with a gas grill and a picnic table. There are also four outdoor chairs and a fire pit available for your use.
And although The Brickyard House is a great place to unplug and unwind, you can also enjoy our free Wi-Fi network to stream your favorite shows on a 55" HD TV or to login and get some work done. When you're ready to venture out, you can grab kolaches in the historic Czech town of West (less than 5 minutes away) or experience the recently revitalized downtown district of Waco (only 15 minutes away). After an event at Baylor or after exploring the Magnolia Silos, escape the crowds and return to your country retreat. However you choose to spend your time, the memories you make here will last a lifetime.
Listen to the songs of cardinals and bluebirds, and if you're lucky, you might even see a roadrunner or two, or possibly even hear an occasional barn owl as the sun goes down! After messaging with Clyde before we arrived, I felt like we were kindred spirits! A wonderful host even in written correspondence.The pictures did not do the home justice! This is a charming farmhouse on many acres that has been updated. It’s a two bedroom with a circular floor plan and it feels so spacious bc of the natural light, all the while, still a cozy cottage. It is decorated so well with antique paint colors on newer cupboards, handmade quilts on the beds, new window coverings and historic family mementos on the walls. It is updated with a dishwasher, new walk-in shower and water softener, great AC and ceiling fans too. All the amenities of today with the charm of the past! I was amazed by the grounds, not only are they very clean and tidy, it’s a nature lovers dream in Spring! We had mama/baby pairs of cattle at the back end of the lot and a plethora of bird species. I saw a bluebird, chickadee and mockingbird all nesting in separate areas on the property. At night we caught fireflies, which was a first for me! So magical!It’s in a cute, country neighborhood; didn’t see or hear any riffraff. Easily accessible to freeways. We went to Waco for dancing and Heritage Homestead for coffee and chocolate.Clyde was available via VROB app promptly and super helpful with any questions we had. The place is “turn key;” they have all the bases covered. We felt safe, relaxed and well tended. We hope to visit again!

Beautiful quaint house with lots of open space surrounding. We felt so at peace staying here. Wake up in the morning to the birds chirping.Good size rooms, clean , and quiet. Perfect for a couple or small family.Clyde was very responsive and made our trip for our daughter’s graduation perfect! Thank you

Another great stay at the Brickyard house! We've chosen to stay here multiple times because of the seamless communication and ease of the overall rental process. The house is quaint and has everything we've needed. We bring our clothes, our own pillows and groceries - that's about it! It only takes 15 -20 minutes to get anywhere in Waco and we enjoy staying in a rural area instead of in town.

Excellent location. We are from the Philadelphia area visiting our daughter and her husband in Houston. This short trip gave us the opportunity to see Dallas, Waco and many small towns in between. Home was spotless and well equipped. Host provided all information required and was available should we have had any questions or issues...which we did not. I could go on and on but will leave my discussion with the recommendation that if you are looking for a get away weekend from close by major city or on a road trip this would be an ideal place to stay. A taste of the country with access to anything you could need.
