Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is very nice, lots of decks and in a good location.Pros:*Size and condition of home. Newly renovated.*Main kitchen living area very nice. *Beds and baths were all nice, especially master.*Lots of decks at all levels.*Close to beach path although 2 blocks from beach. *Close to shopping and restaurants and a short drive to other Corolla points of interest.*Nice pool with hot tub.*Many TVs Cons:*Realty company was unresponsive after being called with some issues about the house and requesting a call back.*Grills had not been cleaned and are in poor condition. No tools to clean them and wouldn't cook on them given their condition.*Kitchen pots and pans are limited and fry pans were charred and not clean.*Kitchen silverware looked like it had melted chocolate splattered on a number of them. We ended up having to wash all before using.*Pool area had maintenance issues: One step on pool ladder was missing and had exposed bolts; skimmer had a broken and jagged end; garden hose had no nozzle (just a broken watering timer) and was split on the side. It made trying to wash down beach chairs, etc. difficult. *Some road noise from the main road behind the home.*Surrounding houses had sand courts for their volleyball; this house has rough, scrub grass. One guest cut his foot while playing on it.*Main TV had a sound bar added that was not synched with the remote. TV on/off and sound +/- had to be controlled on the TV and sound bar manually.*No beach chairs. Not a requirement, but other houses we have rented in OBX had them. We ended up buying a bunch and left 3 that we couldn't carry back at the house. Enjoy!Overall a very nice house that needs a little more TLC for the renters.

-Kitchen poorly equipped for a 6 bedroom house -2 ceiling fans broke -main living room tv didn’t work half the time, -7 chairs for a very expansive 2 levels of deck, not one table or end table outside either -advertised that they had a volleyball net, it was laying on the ground -oven didn’t work correctly all week, had to open windows to get rid of gas smell -advertised extra linens, every extra pillow had no pillow case In summary this was a very expensive property and even when we addressed the issues with property management nothing was done, they looked at the tv 1 time but it didn’t work immediately following. I got told they put work orders in for all the issues, r went the entire week and nothing was addressed.

Right next to the path to the beach which made our walks so much easier while carrying all our gear. House was very clean! And there’s a midweek cleaning service as well. Some heads up for future occupants. There is no water from the fridge. Need to either get a Brita (like we did) or bottled water. The grill is also charcoal so if you don’t know how to use that type of grill, read up! Feel like the kitchen could use more cooking utensils and pots and pans. But the double dishwasher is such an amazing addition.
