About this house rental
Situated in Belfast, this lovely house for $480 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Spectacular views of Belfast Harbor and Penobscot Bay all the way to Blue Hill and Cadillac Mountain from all over the house. Watch all the harbor boating activity, the eagles diving for their dinner, the herons gliding by from your two expansive decks and the grand, sloping backyard with private stairs down to your beach, all just 2 blocks from downtown. At low tide you can take a left and walk (or swim!) along the beach two hundred yards to the Belfast Boathouse, jump onto the Belfast Harbor Walk path running along Steamboat Landing Park (where there is live music every Thursday summer evening!) then to Heritage Park with its food and ice cream trucks, and on to Main St and downtown Belfast. All in less than 1/2 mile. Or, turn right at low tide and walk or swim all the way to City Park with it's playground, pickleball, tennis, and basketball courts, public swimming pool, grills... This is literally the ideal location, unique in Belfast. The first floor of our home features en suite master and en suite guest room; roomy, picture-windowed living room; spacious deck with furniture, gas grill and views for miles; full kitchen with a view, and original wide pine flooring throughout. Below the master is a bonus/re room with TV and queen futon for additional sleeping option. The second floor includes 2 en suite queen bedrooms; a kitchenette; and its own deck with spectacular views (even from the master bathtub!) and a gas grill; loft with TV and twin daybed. All of which can have its own separate entrance if desired. Perfect for extended families! And we even welcome your small dogs! (Under 20 lbs). Hypoallergenic dogs only, please. The backyard is fenced so your pup can free-range. There is no place like it. 15% discount available for stays of one week, 20% off for stays of 28 days or longer.

We have stayed all over this area to be close to family. This house has a beautiful view of the Bay and plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. We
had everything we needed including cooking supplies and comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again - next time maybe in the summer so we could use the great decks outside.

The house was comfortable and very well laid out for our group of 6 adults. Most of our time at the house was spent on the back deck with beautiful views!! A short walk into town and access via the beach in low tide. The host responded quickly to our questions. Overall we were very pleased with our experience!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Belfast in this beautiful coastal home. The views were spectacular. The house was extremely clean and fully equipped with everything you could need to enjoy your stay. The sunrise in the morning was amazing and the beds were very comfortable. We would love to stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Belfast. Our house was charming, extremely clean, roomy for whole family, with no amenity overlooked. Host was attentive and i felt he was available if there was a problem. My favorite parts were the sit down kitchen, the outside deck and the small private beach. There are gorgeous views throughout whole house.
Belfast is a real town not overly touristy but with cute shopping areas. Dining is not fancy which is good because food is authentic and delicious.

We never tired of the view. The home was amazing in every way. The hosts were very helpful. A lot of thought was put into making this beachfront home very welcoming. We took advantage of the walk along the coast into town. Belfast is real treat! We visited a few lighthouses and enjoyed several day hikes in neighboring towns. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer!

Great location with an absolutely wonderful view! The place was actually bigger than the pictures led me to believe. I loved watching the sunrises with my coffee on the deck while watching the boats in the harbor. The kids loved combing for sea glass on the beach (and found a bunch). The place was clean, well stocked, and the beds were super comfy. Owners had excellent directions for arrival, departure, and were excellent commicators. We would definitely stay here again!

Belfast is a great central location to enjoy Maine. Highly recommend enjoying the local festivals and farmer's markets.
This house is very comfortable and the views to the marina are wonderful and peaceful. From the decks, we saw seals, eagles, blue jays, cardinals, looms and ducks.
At first we found the locations of the TV inconvenient (in the bonus room (basement) and in the attic (loft/3rd floor)) since the comfy chairs are on the main and second floor. By the end of the trip, we didnt miss watching TV at all.
David was very helpful and responsive with some questions about surrounding areas too.

We had a wonderful stay in Belfast! The property is right on the water and has beautiful views. There was ample space and we loved having the first floor bedrooms to make it easier for my parents. Decks and access to outside from all levels was super convenient and so nice to be able to walk right outside in the morning to enjoy the view.
David and Stacey were great hosts, easy to get a hold of and provided all directions to make everything simple and easy.
Belfast is a wonderful town, and was great for a layed back chill vacation. We did day trips to Camden and to Bar Harbor and it was great to come back to the relative calm and peaceful Belfast.
All in all it was such a great trip, great property, great hosts and great town!

We hoped for a lot from this home, and our expectations were exceeded! We were looking for a relaxing place to spend time enjoying good food, playing games, and lazing around with family. We wanted to be near a nice day trip or two. And finally, especially for the kids, we wanted an easy walk to the water and town. This home provides all of that and more!
Everything in the home has been thought through to treat the guests as, well, special guests. The kitchen(s) have everything you might need, there were plenty of beach towels, and so many thoughtful touches (bug spray, an outdoor shower, and even specialty toothbrushes!) The beds were so comfortable we had to ask for the brand! Our group of family and friends included 4 adults and 3 teenagers. The house provides ample spaces to be all together, to gather in small groups, or to steal some time alone. The views from all the decks are gorgeous, especially at sunrise and sunset. One of my favorite parts of the trip was hearing my wife call out, “Osprey! Another osprey! Oh, an eagle! Look! Hummingbirds!” from the deck every day.
The house is in a neighborhood only a few blocks from town and harbor, yet we seemed removed from time when relaxing on decks or searching for sea glass on the beach that is the backyard. We love Maine and have been to Acadia and other places over the years, but this was our first time in Belfast, and we will return! Belfast has some exceptional food choices (The Only Doughnut, the Laotian restaurant—you can read about all the others in the guest book when you arrive!), a sweet old movie theater, and an eclectic enough collection of stores to satisfy different tastes for a short shopping fix. We found food, activities and places we’d love to return to and others we will check out anew when we return. From this lovely home base, we took day trips to Monhegan Island, and hikes in Camden and Sandy Point Beach.
David and Stacie were friendly, clear, and prompt communicators who have outdone themselves with this home. Overall, a spectacular vacation!

The house and location are gorgeous. The house was comfortable and well appointed. Having access to the beach was amazing for our kids. We were able to walk downtown and we had a wonderful stay in Belfast!

I booked this property last minute, knowing very little about Belfast, based solely on it's proximity to Acadia, and it was AMAZING! We stayed 4 nights with our family (kids ages 17, 16, 14, & 8) in this beautiful waterfront home. The home is very accommodating, quaint, beautiful and unpretentious, which is what anyone would want and expect when visiting Maine, right? The views are amazing, somehow I forgot it was waterfront! Do not drive to Acadia for a sunrise, just set your alarm and walk outside... you will have breathtaking views, hot coffee, and teens who can go right back to bed once the sun is up. Ha! We rented kayaks and paddleboards from Pedros Water Rentals, they delivered them at the City Marina shoreline just a couple hundred yards from the house. We spent one day in Acadia (hello summer crowds), explored/hiked local state parks, went into Camden, and enjoyed walking to dinner at Nautilis in Belfast. My takeaway, if you want to visit Maine and do not want to be overwhelmed by tourists (Bar Harbor & Camden were both insanely crowded), stay in Belfast! There is a railroad trail that's fabulous if you're looking for a running path (walk out the front door to the trail's end and back = 6 mi) OR take a leisurely stroll across the pedestrian bridge. Our kids loved swimming (brrrr) and playing right outside the house in the bay (I recommend some sort of water shoes/sandals bc of rocks). The beds are all amazing, the sheets are cotton, the pillows were great, the decks overlooking the bay are perfect for every meal, the neighbors were all nice, the washer and dryer are brand new, there's no TV (we hate the TV ha!) anywhere in sight... ok, there is a TV on 3rd floor if you have an addict in your group who needs to watch it. David was quick to reply to my texts and made some great suggestions for us. All in all, it was one of the best VRBO experiences we've had, and we've had a lot! Nothing has been overlooked, sunscreen, towels, toothbrushes, well stocked kitchen, throw blankets and even yoga mats! We loved it all!

Fantastic House and Location
Our second stay at Bayview allowed us more time in the house and to explore Belfast. Belfast is a lovely town with excellent shopping and places to grab a tasty bite. Belfast is so walkable and enjoyable. We especially liked the Food Coop and breakfast or lunch at Chase's Daily restaurant/cafe. The house is walking distance from town and also and easy short drive.
The house is very comfortable. When it gets too hot you can take a dip in the invigorating Bay just down the stairs in the backyard. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking (we cook a lot on our travels). The beds are very comfortable and the AC in the living room came in handy during the heat wave. I particularly enjoyed sitting on the back deck, day or night, watching the activity on the Bay. Even in the rain we managed a BBQ on the deck eating under the covered portion of the deck enabled outdoor dining despite a torrential rain.
David and Stacie were great hosts. Easy to communicate with and quick to respond. We didn’t have any problems but if we did it was clear they’d take care of them quickly. Great hosts!
It's a lovely, comfy, quiet house in a lovely town. We’d love to stay again.

Amazing Waterfront Vacation!
Everything from start to finish was top- notch! The hosts thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. The property is beautiful, clean, well maintained and perfectly located for water/beach access and walks into town. The sheets and towels were so soft. Everything we could have needed was provided for us. It was the perfect spot for our Belfast getaway and we cannot wait to book it again!
