Very central location in the town. You can walk everywhere easily.
The reception was very friendly and very helpful.
The accommodation was very neat and clean and very big for two people. Well equipped.
Nice view over the river with a nice sunset.
The layout with only one big open room can be a bit strange.
The reception is not always open and can be difficult to find if you don't have a network connection.

Very spacious loft, nice view of the river, centrally located in Tortuguero
It is directly under the roof which can be quite loud when it's raining heavily.

Great view, very clean, good location. Right next to the police station, so it felt extra safe. It was a little noisy in the day as the property is above a boat ramp that the hardware store uses for deliveries, but it was quiet at night. They had a coffee maker and supplied coffee. They also left a couple of water bottles and a couple of beers in the full-size refrigerator for us. The shower is excellent - nice pressure and a large walk-in stall.
Check in was weird. We had to call the manager, and it took her awhile to respond, so we went out and had a beer while waiting. Then she asked for cash since they didn’t have a credit card machine, but we didn’t have enough. Then she told us there were no ATMs on the island. But to her credit, she told us not to worry, we would figure it out in the morning, and we did. She somehow procured a credit card machine, and we paid the next day. Also, there were not clear instructions for check out. The second bed is a pair of twin beds (trundle style), and the upper bed was really squeaky.

So spacious, clean and comfortable! Everything you could need and Carmen is such a god send! Would definitely recommend.
