The unit is located on the 2nd floor there's a set of steps that guests need to take as there is NO elevator The host does not reside at the property but reserves the right to visit the guesthouse in the corner of back yard commuting through the separate side entrance. Guests will be given full privacy within the premises of the advertised house. The host can make himself available upon need. As we stirve to contribute to the peace and tranquility of this unique neighborhood, we ask all guests to be considerate of well-being of the neighbors. As mentioned in the listing description, this listing is NOT suitable for ANY type of gatherings or events. We enforce strict rules on quiet ours and max. occupancy so that the peace and quiet is respected. Walking distance to major grocery stores, bars, restaurants, shops. Close to all the necessities and major tourist attractions. Garage door MUST be kept closed at ALL TIMES. Ignoring or forgetting to close the door upon use will result not only in complete forfeiture of the security deposit, the guest will be responsible for any vandalism that might occur to the neighbors vehicles. Please take this notice very seriously as we do NOT like to have to penalize any of our guests. communication was great with the host, very responsive. the place was clean and looked as described in a nice area. some bars/cafe within walking distance. would recommend for a trip in the area. thanks for the nice stay!

Extremely clean -safe neighborhood- everything you need to be comfortable and even cook wonderful meals- gives this a 4 star rating. The host needs to bettter descibe the property though. It is not HOME- Homes are HOUSES. It is an an apt. on the second floor. Their were also 4 and 1/2 pages of single spaced rules and fines. You never meet the host -virtual texts and some from a manager. Parking - if you drive a midize vehicle or SUV-forget about it. The garage only will fit a small compact vehicle, that you have to back in. There is no parking immediately by the unit as you need a permit so you may be parking a block or so away, (but this is LA). AC is only in 2 rooms. Yet for the value and location a good deal.

Really nice apartment, good location. Great communicating with owner, they were very helpful. This apartment has many nice features & upgrades. We really enjoyed our stay & look forward to coming back.

Would not recommend staying here. First of all the neighbors are disgruntled bc the host has turned a few of the units in the apparently rent controlled building into short term rentals. So it isn’t pleasant walking past them. If you have children this is not a family appropriate location. When our toddler had a melt down the neighbors would pound on the walls. Overall the apartment felt clean and new but all the furniture and linen were very cheap and uncomfortable. Terrible lighting in the unit felt like we were staying in a cave. Street parking is by permit only so if you have more than one car it will be difficult to find parking during the week. There is one parking space available in the garage in back. The host was not very welcoming and pretty rude over communication. We would only go to the unit to sleep bc we disliked the apartment so much.
