Nestled in Vista, this lovely house for $580 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Hannalei House is a 50's ranch style house situated on a half-acre of land in Vista, with tons of tropical plants on the property. Features a pool and a hot tub. -15 minutes to the beach -20 minutes to Legoland - 1 hr to disneyland or seaworld - Pool, bbq and outdoor hang areas - Hot tub for 5 - A great spot for large families to spend time together! - Pets are allowed, $195 pet fee, limit of 2 pets, size/breed must be disclosed. THE SPACE: The living room / dining room / kitchen is open-concept, bright and airy. A large dining room table with benches seats 8 comfortably and more if you squish. Bedroom 1 features a king bed, bedroom 2 features a queen, Bedroom 3 features double-sized bunk beds and a twin trundle (can sleep 5, best for kids but works for adults if they don't mind being cozy), and Bedroom 4 / Bonus room features a queen sized bed. Bedroom 4 is a converted garage with separate rolling AC unit (in summer) and radiator heater (in winter). Access to this room is via the dining area (as pictured). The pool wraps around the back/side of the house. Shallow end is 3.5' deep and deep end is 7.5' deep. It is not heated, but we do have a 5 person hot tub that is most definitely heated! :) Lots of outdoor space for hanging out, having bbq's, and spending time together! PARKING and GUEST ACCESS: Driveway is long and lots of parking is available. 4-5 cars can be parked without anyone blocking each other in. Street parking available on nearby Watson Way. Front door is operated with a keypad. Code will be provided the day before check in. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: We adore this house and along with many happy guests, we have made some incredible memories here. We also know that everyone has different expectations. Please review the details below to ensure that this place is a good fit for you. - NOT A HOTEL: This home is not a hotel, and it is not brand new. It is a home built in the 1950s, and while almost everything has been updated, it is still an older home. Please expect some amount of wear and tear based on normal use. - POOL: Pool is not heated. During summer months the temperature is quite cool. During cooler months the pool is also fairly cool. - HOT TUB: We ask guests to keep hot tub temperature at 103F. We do our best to make sure it's hot and ready upon your arrival. If a previous guest lowers the temperature (we ask guests not to), it can sometimes take a few hours to bring it up to temp. - BEDROOM 4: Bedroom 4 is a room created by the conversion of a garage into an additional bedroom. The vents for heat and ac do not reach into this room, so a rolling AC unit is provided in the summer months and a rolling heater in the winter months. Laundry closet is also located in this room. Bedroom 4 is a little more basic than the other 3 bedrooms located within the house, please refer to the photos before booking. - AIR CONDITIONING: The main part of the house is cooled by central air conditioning. Because of the vaulted ceilings in most of the house, the AC has to work fairly hard on hot days. We have solar, so feel free to run the AC as much as you like. It keeps the house fairly cool, but may not be able to keep it as cool as some guests would like on the hottest days. - BATHROOMS: There are two bathrooms located in the house. Bedroom #1 has an ensuite bathroom with a stand-up shower. The second bathroom is located in the hall across from Bedroom #2. While do allow groups of up to 13 people at Hannalei house, we also recognize that it’s difficult for 13 people to get ready for their day using 2 bathrooms. Please plan for this if you decide to stay with us. - POWER IN BATHROOMS: Both bathrooms are on the same electrical circuit. This means that the power will trip if curlers / blowdryers are used in both bathrooms simultaneously. Additional curlers or blowdryers can be powered in bedrooms as an alternative. If the power goes out in bathrooms, please contact us for reset instructions. Resetting is easy and fast. - COMMUNICATION: We do our best to be very responsive hosts. If you encounter any issues, please let us know right away, and allow us to work with you to resolve them. We are partners in making your stay the best it can be. - CHECKOUT TIME / PROCESS: Checkout time is 10am, unless we make other arrangements. Please view checkout instructions, which are common sense and minimal. We appreciate your help leaving the place in good condition for our next guests. - PETS: We do allow pets, with a limit of 2 pets. There is a one-time fee of $195 for groups with pets. Please let us know the breed and weight of any pets you might be bringing. Thanks!

This property was even more wonderful than we had imagined. It has a very comfortable atmosphere which makes you relax and just feel nostalgic. Very quiet, peaceful and enjoyable. It was a first stay with our dog ever, we were worried about cleanliness before we arrived but, WOW! All rooms were clean and neat! Bath amenities such as Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, hair dryer were all set. There were lots of books for kids too. The pool was great. My teenagers had a blast, playing in cleaned water. The grill was well maintained and there was an extra propane. The grass area was also well maintained. The owner Jon was very kind, supportive and thoughtful enough. He had taken care of us since we reserved. If you visit to San Diego and want a private family fun time, this Hannalei House is just for you!

So much room. Good indoor and outdoor space. Four adult and four teenage boys at a soccer tournament in Oceanside. Perfect bedroom set up. AC worked well on hot days. Pool heated up nicely during the day. Airstream was key as one parent had to do some work during the day - a nice way to get away from the rest of the group if private space was needed. I have zero complaints and can’t thank Jon enough for his hospitality.

We had an amazing long weekend stay with our wedding party at the Hannnalei House! With enough room for everyone we had such a relaxing stay. We loved all of the different sitting areas outside and in and all of them were used at some point in time. My now spouse and I stayed in the airstream which was perfect for a little privacy if you don’t mind doing a midnight run into the house for a bathroom (which we didn’t mind!) The house is decorated so charmingly and there are plenty of toys for any littles that may be staying with you! We had two under four with our crew and both fell asleep swinging in the backyard chair swings at one point. Thank you Jon for all of the quick communication, you made extending our stay a breeze and we’re so glad we did!

Property was absolutely cute. Everything about the house inside and out was super cute. We enjoy using the patio in the back and in front of the airstream. Location was great. It was near target, Walmart, and Costco. So super convenient. Owner was very good at communication. Had to reach out to him a few times and he responded right away. Only compliant we had was the floors were dirty and dusty. We had to sweep and mop it. The rug also releases a lot of fibers

This rental was almost perfect for our family gathering. The family room and kitchen were big enough to accommodate our large group to gather to watch movies together. The older kids like to hang out in the former garage space, that has been converted into a large bedroom. This house was built in the 50's and reminded me a lot of my grandparents old house. Because of it's age, there were a lot of exposed plumbing, exposed wires and cobwebs in the "garage-bedroom". The older kids didn't mind, but some pickier adults might be turned off by the appearance. The washer and dryer are housed in a closet inside this same converted bedroom. The three other bedrooms are located at the other end of the house and provided sufficient privacy and comfortable beds. There is a fun hangout area in the backyard with cornhole, chairs, bbq, propane firepit and a pool. The weather was too cool during our stay to use this area very much. My daughter loved having the Airstream trailer to herself. The only downside was that the trailer is situated very close to a semi-busy street that would wake her up whenever a loud car sped by. But overall, we enjoyed our stay and would have no reservations about staying here again.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. We were a family of 14 which fit everyone comfortably. From the beginning the communication between us has been awesome and quick. If we are ever in San Diego, I hope this will be an option for us.

We had a great but short visit. Kids loved the house and we wish we could have spent more time outside (it rained while we were there). House was lovely and cute. Master bed has a thick foam matress topper but a decent enough standard box spring underneath. We also played the one board game that was at the house. Location was interesting. Close to stores but also a train track. All and all it was a great vacation and owner was very responsive. 😃

Love the place. Came here for a wedding. I wish we could’ve enjoyed the house more but was gone for the wedding most of the time. Will stay again for sure. Host was awesome!

We really enjoyed staying at Aloha! The open planned house and different configurations in the bedrooms really worked for us. It is a little older but it has a comfortable ambience and gives you the feel that you are far away from the urban and metro worlds!
