Pleasant and good value

The Quay is right on the sea front, with free parking right outside. The rooms have a sea view. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The hosts were friendly and helpful . Breakfast was good, we had a very pleasant stay

Fantastic value for money

Fabulous with some healthy abd tasty breakfast. Dinner is well served as well

Would have liked to stay longer.

Staff very friendly, food breakfast and dinner good . Was in a good location, room was very pleasant and clean. I liked the landlord my sort of guy. If we are in the area would always stay if possible.

Breakfast OK. Location very good. Barmaid very nice and helpful.

Unfriendly landlady. Being locked in until 8.30 am. Having attic room angled ceiling hitting our heads.

A lovely short break in a beautiful area.

The breakfast was excellent, very hot and plenty of it. Our room was a little tired and could do with a lick of paint but it was clean and that’s the main thing. The location is perfect and our room had a fantastic view of the sea. Sarah behind the bar was so friendly and polite.

There was nothing that we didn’t like, other than some areas needing a lick of paint all was good. A door is the corridor slammed on a few occasions but didn’t really bother us.

The venue served me well as a base to get out hill walking and to visit the local towns and history.

All good value for the price. An excellent offering of breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. A comfortable and well located base for hill and moor walks and visiting the historical offerings in the area.

The welcome (none, landlady didn't introduce herself at any point during our stay, we did figure out who she was though) Dusty room Dirty kettle Filthy window Dusty bathroom Dirty toilet Broken curtain No heating on arrival Low vaulted ceiling (smacked head on it, you have to bend in half to move around that side of the bed.) No chairs We asked for room to be cleaned as soon as we saw it on the day of arrival it wasn't. We also asked for the heating to be turned on. Hard lumpy bed with a hard ridge down middle and on the left edge Undercooked eggs Soggy toast Miserable rude landlady Wish we had read other people's reviews before we booked.

great room, we had two adjoined rooms for family which was nice host was supportive with breakfast for the road

Shame about the room as this let the side down. May well be thought that ours was an exception.

Pleasant welcome, friendly. Food good value, tasty, no nonsense & sometimes it’s really all you want after a heavy day. Breakfast spot on.

Bed rather “lumpy” & double was 2 singles with something joining them that created a hard ridge. Bathroom floor not very clean & no soap in shower.

Great place to start our 2-day walk in the Southwest

stayed up late specially to welcome us – dog friendly – hearty breakfast and right next to the start of the Southwest coastal track :-)

Perfect night away for my birthday !

Perfect location as away from the main drag ,so nice and quiet! Short walk to main drag ! Lovely staff,lovely room great breakfast! This is our second visit, so thoroughly recommend!

Didn't do evening meals but not a big issue as we found somewhere close by ,so not really a not like !
