The pictures from Booking were accurate and the rooms were in good condition and clean. The air conditioner was powerful enough to keep the room and upstairs cool. The pool area was quite small but still lovely for a hangout or quick refreshing. The wifi was good and the free filtered drinking water essential as there were not many stores located nearby.
The location turned out to be a bit more remote than we thought but renting a scooter or getting a Grab fixes this problem quickly. However, if you wish to have more cafes and restaurants nearby your accommodation, I suggest to look for something else.
A group of young men hanged out in the reception and it was not always clear who was part of the staff as not all of them seemed to understand or speak English. However, this was a small inconvenience.

The staff was 10/10. The owner also give us a ride to the airport.
The pool and the garden were perfect. Everything is super clean and near the cool spots in Uluwatu.

The staff couldn’t have been nicer. First class. The accommodation was delightful and filled with character. My only issue is the distance from the ‘action’ - was quite far away. - a 15 minute grab ride away. Lastly - though being in the countryside has its charm - being woken by multiple cockrels at 5 am was really no fun.

The property’s proximity to the wedding venue was excellent—only about three minutes away by car, which was extremely convenient. We also appreciated the tasteful décor, well-maintained landscaping, and the swimming pool, all of which added to the overall ambiance.
Management’s responsibility by honoring a partial refund
Unfortunately, there were several significant issues:
• One of the two units had a broken split air-conditioning system, which forced my sister, her daughter, and granddaughter to rent a room at a neighboring villa.
• There appeared to be bed bugs in that unit, as the occupants developed visible welts and bumps consistent with insect bites.
• Our unit was a loft-style villa with the bed located on the mezzanine level. There was no light switch near the bed, requiring us to go down to the main floor to turn the lights on or off.
• The wooden stair treads were extremely slippery, likely due to an oily finish, which felt unsafe—especially when descending at night to use the bathroom.
• The split A/C filter was visible from the bed area and appeared partially clogged with lint, raising concerns about cleanliness and maintenance.
Overall, while the location and appearance of the property were appealing, the maintenance, cleanliness, and safety issues significantly impacted our stay.
