Let me start with the positives. The pool area is really nice, and the location is excellent — if you like training at [gym name], spending time at Bingin Beach, or hopping between the cafes, everything is within walking distance, and there are a few shops close by. The staff are incredibly sweet and helpful, and they are what makes this place. The rooms were also
Unfortunately, my room had a persistent damp, musty smell from the moment I arrived. I aired it out often and kept the air con running, but the damp kept coming back, and some nights it felt like I was sleeping on semi-wet bedding. Even after I left, all of my clothes — including ones I never wore — carried that damp smell and had to be washed. I came close to leaving halfway through my stay, but pushed on because the reviews were so good.
The real turning point was the last two days, when I had no hot water at all. I showered cold, reported it to the team, and it couldn’t be fixed. One staff member kindly walked me over to another building to shower, which I appreciated, but it was late at night and not what you expect.
At this price point, I don’t think the rooms reflect what you’re paying for — there are plenty of places in Bali offering more for the same money. If the damp issue were sorted, this would be a wonderful stay, because the staff and location are hard to beat.
