Rating Savoia Regency is really difficult, because it was a beautiful Hotel. It was clean, the room was very good and large, the facilities good, the (ice cold) pool and public spaces were pretty and well-kept. BUT.
I would not return, because the breakfast was terrible. I understand cake for breakfast is a thing in Italy, but so are cold cuts, cheeses and fish - which were absent. If you go for sugar first thing in the day, the choice was okay. But if you eat only savory, the choice was limited and there was zero variety in our four-day-stay: two hams, 1 cheese, Mozzarella, 2 types of buns, toast, boiled egg (impossible to peel) and scrambled egg. Of course I did not step into the kitchen, but it is my suspicion that they used industrial prepackaged egg-mix for that, which does not taste or feel the same. While the rest of the hotel was really, really good, this breakfast ruined every single morning and made us really upset.
The location is good if you have your own transportation, but going into town by bus (which we did couple of times) is a sad experience because one drives through all the run-down areas and it takes forever.

The room is very comfortable and the food is excellent.
No drinks or food served in the pool area, staff not very friendly, far from the city center, taxi not available in the evening, old-fashioned.

Ample parking and easy to get to town on the number 20 bus. Staff very polite and helpful. Real coffee at breakfast made to order. Location very quiet and peaceful but easy to reach from motorway. Lots of towels and they were of a good size too.
Lovely fresh fruit at breakfast and public areas good. This is a conference hotel as feels like it
Room was tired, we asked for double
Bed and got the usual 2 singles but they hadn’t been joined by a sheet and would have slipped apart even if made up as a double. We could hear the shower from the room above. Shower was small and leaked.
