This hotel is much more than just a place to stay while visiting Haiphong, it has the feel of a heritage hotel. Although not an old hotel, it is built in the French colonial style, around a beautiful courtyard. The lobby has an old-world feel. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff is friendly, attentive, and professional. Perhaps the best part is the breakfast buffet. It was amazing. Big selection of many food styles in a beautiful setting. The hotel is located in a nice area of Haiphong across from a park. Fun area for walking. My girlfriend's favorite was the Chợ Ga (Ga Market) which is about a 15 minute walk. Great local market. Grab works really well in the area. Never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for a ride to appear. This is a chance to stay at a heritage hotel without paying heritage prices. Oh, and the gym is very well equipped. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

The staffs are very friendly and supportive.

Quiet, good location, friendly staff, pleasant interior, good restaurant.
I've been staying here on and off for the last 7 years and those are the things to recommend it. The quiet aspect and the quality of the in-house restaurant are the best two features.
This used to be the top place to stay in Hai Phong, but times have caught up and this is now massively overpriced for what you get in a room. Other locations in Hai Phong offer larger rooms for 1/3 the price, and in Harbor View the rooms are the same no matter what you pay, unless it's the most expensive tier.
The temperature of the hot water is restricted to be warm, but not hot, making baths in particular distinctly unsatisfying.
As is common in hotels, no central room lighting and poorly placed outlets. You have to unplug a necessary room light to access an outlet to charge things. The only free outlet is at the small desk.
Covid has forced a lot of necessary changes, this is to be expected, but it is important for a venue to state what changes have been made. In this case the breakfast, which is pretty much the primary reason to say here rather than other more affordable, spacious, and comfortable venues was changed to a menu that was set along a limited line of options, and those were tiny portions at that.
The food quality at the restaurant is excellent, but the prices are, as is common in hotels, between 1.5 and 2x more expensive than it should be and the drinks are weak.
In all honesty, after 7 years of frequenting this hotel as a rare option to relax and unwind this may be the last time I stay there.
