I will ask you to withdraw your booking if we don’t talk before a reservation attempt is made, Please." ..... - READ BELOW, INCLUDING THE WINTER HOLIDAY AND WEEKEND RATES. - Open to full season rentals. My father built this amazing cabin over 50 years ago; It's in great shape with modernized amenities. It's our favourite place on Earth and the quintessential cabin experience. Our beautiful home is 5 MINUTES DRIVE to Sugarbush Ski resort. 12 minutes to Mad River Ski Resort. The house is located off the Sugarbush Access Road with the free shuttle - "The Mad Bus" - ready to drive you to the slopes. The yearly base rate is $300 per night but weekends and holidays in high season are priced differently. Just read below!: Winter weekend and holiday/long weekend rates are $500 to $550 per night, depending on the dates. Winter weekdays are $300 to $500 per night. If things are slow I can offer you a discount, just send me a message first! Autumn leaf peeping weekends are $500 or $550 per night. The house sleeps 8, with three bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms (a King bed in the master bedroom, a Queen in the front bedroom, and Two Full 2-person beds in the third room). Main house: The WIFI is excellent. There's a full kitchen, washer and dryer, Large NEW Wall-mounted Flat Screen 50" TV, A DVD library, Wireless Internet, a BBQ outside, a den and a nice wood burning fire place inside for marshmallow madness. There is no microwave and no cable TV, except for an additional charge. There is a firestick however with Netflix, News channels, Amazon, Hulu etc etc. There IS a dining room table - and it seats 8 people. Guaranteed the most quaint and charming vacation rental! THE HOT TUB: The hot tub is OPTIONAL and accommodates 4-6 people. It is all wood-burning. (No electric heating.) This means that you have to regulate the wood to reach the right temperature, not burn yourself, keep an eye on the fire and the water levels so the stove is always submerged in water. For the hot tub, I only accept serious users. I am adding a one-time $250 hot tub fee per stay (only if you book the hot tub). It must be emptied and washed before and after each booking. Please specify WHETHER OR NOT you want the hot tub. Happy trails!! ****Activities and Food**** - The two towns - 5 minutes from the house are Warren and Waitsefield. - The Mehuron grocery store is a nice locally owned grocery. There is also a Shaws on the other side of the main street. - Make sure you check out American Flatbread (pizza) - very quaint unique “earthen oven” pizza experience. For a quick bite, the tacos at Mad taco right by Mehurons are incredible - braised and smoked tacos. - Other restaurants I like: the Hyde Away - delicious, also has nice bar and billiards. - The Big Picture - good bar atmosphere and a movie theatre. - The pitcher inn in warren - fine dining. - Madbush Falls. - Cool new spot. Food is decent. - Rumbles Bar and Bistro - Good food. - Paradise Deli - Very good deli. In the Valley you’ll find Skating in Waitsfield, and tobogganing – Check out Mad River Rocket Sledding trails. Snowshoeing, cross country skiing – at Ole’s or Blueberry Lake, hot chocolate and waffle bar at the base of Sugarbush mountain, kids camps and 'Adventure Zone' for kids. And the Big Picture movie theatre.

My group of friends spent the night here and it was an awesome spot for us! It is in a very good location not too far from Middlebury and Burlington, but you are still in a very beautiful rural Vermont. The house itself has plenty of room for a medium sized group and has a lovely living room for hanging out. There is a lack of a good table to all sit and eat, unless some people sit at the bar and some sit at the table, but if yo are fine with this then it is a lovely interior. It is clear that Andrew loves this place and stays here himself, given the fully stocked kitchen and a SUPER extensive movie collection that we love exploring! If you are looking for a spotless and empty place to stay, it might not be right for you but if you want a very homey and lived-in vibe then it is a great spot. One thing of note for this property is that it is a bit dusty and did give one member of my group a mild allergic reaction. The full wall-to-wall carpet, while very nice to walk on, holds a lot of dust which isn't ideal. The lighting, especially in the kitchen, is quite sparse so when it gets dark out, the house will stay pretty dark. As a whole, I would not recommend this place if you have children because there a lot of breakable things but otherwise it is a lovely spot and Andrew is a great host if you are looking for a homey place in beautiful rural Vermont!

Great house in a great location. The description is spot on and Andrew is an amazing host. I m reluctant to give such a good review as I would like to keep this place to myself.

Andrew's cabin was wonderful! My friends and I had a fantastic time playing board games in front of the fire and enjoying the hot tub. The beds were cozy and the cabin had everything you would need. Andrew was a so a very responsive host. There was a minor issue with the heating when we arrived, but Andrew was on top of it and it was quickly resolved. The nearby town of Warren was terrific as well and I hope to return when the pandemic is over so as to enjoy it a bit more. Perfect getaway and I highly recommend it.

This little place in the woods was perfect!! The house is warm and cozy, and you can light a beautiful fire in the living room. The hot tub, which takes some work to get going, combined with the cute guest barn gives the property a fairy tale feeling. The place is clean, well stocked, and we had everything that we needed. Also -- and this was important for me -- there was plenty of hot water for showers and baths, which, along with the fire, made it easy to stay warm. Andrew was a great host -- easy to get in contact with, and very helpful in terms of information about the area. We used the BBQ on the deck, and we could all gather around the table. Also, the location is terrific: a five minute drive to the mountain, and five minute drives in either direction to cute small towns (Warren and Waitsfield). I would highly recommend visiting the Warren Store if you have a chance. All in all, it was a great experience and I would definitely stay here again.

This place was great for a ski weekend with two families of 4. Cant beat the location for skiing at Sugarbush. Very cozy and comfortable. Huge fireplace to relax in front of. Would highly recommend.

Very convenient to ski area (5-10 min drive). Sitting on 5 floor cushions at a coffee table is unsuitable for a family weekend for meals and game playing. Two of the four kitchen stools were broken. Need a dining table and 8 chairs. Insufficient paper products (1/2 roll of TP for 2 bathrooms) and dishwasher detergent supplied. Beds & bedding were comfortable. But rear bathroom heat is insufficient on colder days. Lots of great natural light and nestled in the woods. Only one key supplied, which was difficult for our group with two cars. Fireplace grate was broken and fireplace tools were insufficient to safely handle burning logs.

A cosy, rustic ski house in a great location between Sugarbush mountain and the towns of Warren and Waitsfield. Nice fireplace, plenty of hot water, comfortable beds. The addition of the new barn as an extra sleeping area was perfect for us. It is a work in progress and will be even better when fully furnished and has a defined path to the house. Andrew, our host, was communicative, responsive and helpful during our stay. Please note, there is no kitchen/dining room table. There are 4 stools in the kitchen and two coffee tables to sit at and eat in the living room area. All in all, a nice stay!

Disappointed with the cleanliness of the cabin. Extremely musty smell. Chose to leave early rather than stay a second night. Other than that, the cabin was roomy and spacious. Very good layout.
