The house is in a very good location. The housekeeper Stefano was very friendly and gave us very good advices for our stay. The garden is beautiful as well as the breakfast area. Breakfast was very nice and every day different.

wow!

Stefano is a super nice, very communicative guy and speaks fluently english, so there is no translator app in between as with other hosts. The place was a peaceful heaven for me, secluded and really quiet and was the best breakfast ever. Stefano also has great tips about where to go for dinner and alike.

Lovely house with great host

I stayed in the “blue” room which is located in the small house at backyard next to a lovely garden, very quiet, very comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is very good, especially the homemade juice. Host is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Very thoughtful, personable host with great recommendations, family-run property, perfect locale.

Our host, Stefano, was exceedingly helpful, friendly and resourceful. Of 8 different B&B's we stayed at over two weeks in October 2022, Stefano was the consummate host, providing a detailed city map of Syracusa and giving us recommendations on places to eat, things to in town and in the nearby beach vicinity. We enjoyed the top room with large balcony overlooking a wetland marsh to the west and to the east, great views of Syracusa and Ortigia. Stefano's English is great, as were the delicious breakfasts he prepared over three days' stay and the overall hospitality showed by him and the rest of the staff. Would recommend this spot most highly!

Would definitely stay again. Lovely place.

Stefano the host / owner / manager was amazing. Super friendly and gave great tips and clearly loves what he's doing. The place itself is amazing.

Well, in a perfect world it would have been nice if beach was within walking distance, but there are electric bikes for rent that make it easy to get to the beach or to Syracuse, and the property itself is beautiful.

This was one of the best places we had to stay in Sicily: cozy and quality room, no noise, fantastic breakfast (not just sweet bakery). Recommendation -- it's much easier to get to the place by car. I 100% recommend it!

A real find

Stephano has a background in hospitality and design. It shows. The room was well appointed with interesting lighting and bathroom “touches “. We had our own little courtyard. BUT the most memorable thing: THE BREAKFAST. Served on a tray by Stephano himself it contained a feast of fresh and home-made treats.

secure property that was clean spacious and comfortable, great communication beforehand ,the owner Stefano was so helpful with our motorcycles arranging for some help from the local BMW garage, mending my broken pannier and indeed gave me an ice pack as I had hurt my wrist. let alone putting a wash load on for us. he is a special human being. the breakfast was delicious, the fridge in the room and AC were very quiet, and I would highly recommend a stay here where you will be made most welcome.

Stefano loves people, his guests and his B&B. You feel this love he puts in the place, its decoration and you can taste it in the breakfast. We felt more than welcomed, made good use of Stefano's advice for sightseeing and dinner and had a perfect stay. The distances to Syracuse and activities are short. The rooms have everything you might need and are comfy and perfectly clean. The balconies (private as well as open to all) have great views including the flamingos. We can recommend a stay with Stefano to everyone and wished we would have stayed longer. Grazie mille!

Our favourite stay in Sicily

This was our final stop after a week in Siciliy and it was our favourite stay of the trip. Stefano was immediately so welcoming, he helped us with our bags and got us drinks and spent time explaining the location, the best place to park to visit Ortiga and recommended several places to eat. Our room was amazing, we were on the top floor with a big beautiful terrace looking out to sea and to a lake filled with flamingos. The B&B is around a 10 minute drive to Syracuse/ Ortiga and we loved how quiet and peaceful it was. The B&B feels lovely and private. Stefano has thought of lots of little touches, there was an espresso machine in the room (the only place we stayed that had this), a proper hairdryer, pegs to hang wet clothes and a nice big shower. Stefano also prepares breakfast every morning in the lovely little dining room in the garden. Each morning is a different menu with a variety and delicious bits. We had to check out early on our final day and Stefano prepared our breakfast early so we could still enjoy it before we left which we really appreciated. I couldn't rate this place highly enough for anyone staying near Syracuse.

Tranquility and haute cuisine breakfast

Stefano, our fine host, met us at arrival. Straight away we had a nice contact and as it turned out mutual interests, among other things fine food. By the way, his English is fluent :-) Stefano is a very good cook and knows about good food, he proved that every morning: never before (honestly) had we had such a fine breakfast and start of the day! Everything fresh, home made and every day something new. But we didn't choose Saline just for the breakfast. The B&B is located in a sort of dead-end street, very quiet and near a nature reserve. We slept there very well, also because the matrasses were very well. But still, it's located only 7 km from Ostegia which we could see from our bedroom. We went there by bike! Stefano just bought about 4 or 5 electric bikes and we used them well, also biking to the beaches and the famous ancient theatres (saving trouble of parking and paying). All in all, a perfect place to visit the ancient town of Syracuse. Thnx Stefano!

Very friendly host who also gave us tips about restaurants in the area, good and pleasant room with terrace. It was very quiet and calm for sleeping. The breakfast was nice. The location is near to Ortigia. We had a very good stay.

Amazing stay

The host (Stefano) is very helpful and friendly - paying attention to every detail to make his guests comfortable. He greeted us as if we were his old friends - helped with luggage, provided bottled water, gave us valuable information about visiting Ortigia and good places to eat (frequent by locals, not touristy). Our room was sparkling clean, with the scenic terrace. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, cooked by the host from his own local products and artistically presented. Perfect location - close to old town, yet in a very quiet neighborhood.

Our stay was too short - only one night.

This place is from another planet! You feel welcome and valued as a guest, which comes out of every detail in this house. Stefano really knows how to make you enjoy every second of your stay at B&B Le Saline. Starting with the beautiful room with panoramic terrace he gave us, that was equipped with everything we needed to enjoy a glass of wine after an exhaustive day of walking and sightseeing. He made some great restaurant recommendations but nothing exceeds the fresh breakfast Stefano prepared every morning. It looked, smelled and tasted like high quality Italian star food. The house is beautifully renovated in a Sicilian fashion in every color and detail, the bathroom was bright and spacious, the room was comfortable and we had a great view of the nearby lake reservat with flamingos. The whole experience made us feel sad that we had to leave.

That it was not Summer to be able to enjoy this place in full.
