3 excellent days in Florence with a central location and updated bathroom.

My wife and I enjoyed the cleanliness, character, and location of the apartment, all at a reasonable price. We didn't even need the upstairs bedroom (also, I am tall - 6'6" - and would have hit my head on the beams upstairs). Fabrizio answered every question promptly leading up to our arrival and accommodated the fact that our flight was late. We felt like we were at home. We would definitely go back.

It resulted in an effortless vacation. A nice place to recoup after a day of walking and discovering Florence. Fabrizzio was a very helpful owner.

Clean, comfortable apartment within walking distance of all the main attractions in Florence. The owner made us feel welcome. The washing machine was a lifesaver for our long journey!

Very comfortable stay. Located on a nice quiet side street, but just a few minutes walk to all that Florence has to offer. We enjoyed the owners eclectic and interesting design. We would highly recommend this property.

We loved our stay in Florence. The apartment is as pictured on the listing. Easy to walk to so much in Florence but on a quiet street away from the noise. Highly recommend!!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. The apartment had everything we could need and was close to all the major attractions without having a “touristy” vibe. Fabrizio was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely recommend to anyone staying in this beautiful city.
Only warning - there are some windy stairs so it could be tough for those with mobility issues.

We spent four nights in early August at Fabrizio’s apartment and it was fantastic from the day we checked in to the day we checked out! Diego, who works with Fabrizio, met us at the apartment when we arrived and explained everything. It was spacious and comfortable with one room on the main floor and one in the loft upstairs which the kids took over. And the building itself is so unique and historical. We only bought breakfast items but the kitchen had everything you needed if you wanted to make meals. The apartment had air conditioning which was a blessing after a full day out in the heat, just make sure to keep a close eye on the jug the water drains into and empty it or it will overflow. We were just down from Piazza di Santa Croce where the beautiful Basilica of Santa Croce is located along with several shops and restaurants. The beds were comfy, the water was hot and we were greeted with a lovely bottle of Prosecco when we arrived. Fabrizio also hosts Tuscany tours which we booked with him. Such a great day! He took us to Siena, Monteriggioni and San Gimignano followed by a lovely wine tasting lunch at Tenuta Torciano Winery. He was informative, pleasant and just an all around wonderful person. Florence is easy to walk, just wear good shoes. We also did the Pizza and Gelato making class through Walkabout Tours which was really fun. Highly recommend that.
5+⭐️ recommendation booking with Fabrizio! You will no be disappointed!
Ciao!

Great location, apartment and hospitality. Would stay there again despite all the stairs to the apartment.

The flat was perfectly located, clean and well appointed. It is a short, easy walk to Duomo and Uffizi. The air conditioning was wonderful to sleep in during the summer heatwave.
The only downsides were aesthetic. The 2 exterior windows were covered, leaving the flat quite dark and the paint on the tile in the bathroom was peeling. Still worth every penny.

Beautiful building with interesting eclectic items to peruse. Close to a great gelato place and easy to walk to many of the sights. Spacious and nice reprieve from the heat. The a/c units are a little tricky to figure out (have to empty the red pot otherwise it will overflow with water) so ask for the full instructions.

We arrived in Florence on a hot rainy afternoon, said so long to the taxi line at SMN and had a nice stroll to this very cool Santa Croce apartment. Our host had his friend Diego meet us and show us around. He was helpful and friendly all week, checking in and offering recommendations on restaurants, sites, and gelato.
We never met Fabrizio, the owner, but he left a very nice bottle of Chianti for us. His apartment is stylish and well furnished. And mere steps from good food and shopping.
Oh, and it’s in a 13th century castle! My highest recommendation. Thank you, Fabrizio and Diego!

10 minutes from the Uffazi and the Duomo and many great restaurants. A welcome bottle of wine, and fast communication. Such an experience to stay in such an old but beautifully decorated space. We were very comfortable even with the heat. The AC and fans kept us comfortable.

Eclectic but great apartment with everything you would need. Location is perfect! Close walk from the train station, very close to the Duomo, and other places of interest, including easy access to the hop on/hop off bus. The bottle of vino was delicious!

We stayed almost a week in the apartment and found it very convenient to good restaurants and all major city sites. It's slightly out of the center of things and in a less crowded area, which is what we wanted. The apartment was well appointed with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Our host, Fabrizio, took care to communicate with us so that we could find and get into the apartment quickly when we arrived. In all, a really positive experience.

My wife and I spent 5 nights here and the place is amazing. Very old building but with plenty of space and decorations to make it feel like home. The washer was a plus as well. Absolutely amazing location. The trattoria around the corner is fantastic. All major sights are less than 20 minutes away, if not 5-10.

We just loved the spaces in the apartment… high ceilings in most areas and interesting personal decor throughout. It was not only well equipped with everything one could need but it had a special vibe! Fabrizio the host is great! We would recommend to anyone staying in Florence and would rent it again next time we are here.

The location was fine but the bed was super uncomfortable with just a scratchy sheet. The rug in the bathroom was stained and the tile at the bottom of the shower was nasty. The apartment is very dark. We were very glad to have a washing Machine and drying rack though.

Everything was wonderful- it was like staying in a cool museum with all the artifacts and cool decor. The beds and small touches and every detail was fantastic- I highly recommend staying here!!

Perfect for families with teens
Great location! Right near Santa Croce church, cafes, restaurants, 5 min walk to Duomo and Uffizi. Fabrizio was a fabulous host and also gives tours of Tuscany and many places in Italy. The apartment itself is iconic: in an old castle, so our teens loved it and full of treasures Fabrizio has collected over the years. It was 103 degrees F the days we were here and the AC was more than adequate to keep us cool. Washing machine was great as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Florence. It's fantastic.

Great location, outstanding host, unique property
We were so pleased with our stay hosted by Fabrizio. He was very accommodating with our changing check-in plans, was responsive and helpful with all questions and provided good recommendations. Fabrizio's guided tour to Siena, San Gimignano and Chianti was one of the highlights of our trip.

The apartment was in an amazing location-every time we wandered out, we found our famous destinations (Uffizi, Il Duomo, Ponte Vecchio) to be 400 meters away!
The apartment was a wonderful home-away-from-home and Fabrizio was a great host, providing a thorough tour of the property and making recommendations for dinner.
We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Location in Florence
We enjoyed our stay in this charming apartment filled with collections from the owners travels.
The location can't be beat a short walk to the all the major sights. Very quiet street but just around the corner from restaurants & shops. Caffe Mario has cappuccino & delicious pastries for breakfast. The grocery store is a few blocks away. We especially enjoyed our meal at LA Buchetta right off Santa Croce Square.
The apartment has everything you need in the kitchen, there is plentiful hot water and the internet is fast. The directions to the wash machine are in the bottom drawer in the kitchen next to the sink & written in several languages. Once you turn it on its easy & it washes well.
Fabrizio the host is wonderful & very responsive. If you plan ahead you may be,able to book a,tour with him. We spent a day exploring Tuscany and Fabrizio showed us some places we would have never found. As wine lovers we had a tour and fantastic lunch at a winery. Even the teenagers were enthusiastic! Highly recommend Fabrizio & his apartment.

My family of 3 (myself, husband, 18 year-old daughter) enjoyed our stay at this Santa Croce area VRBO rental. The location is excellent and all the main city attractions are easily within walking distance. Outstanding restaurants and markets are nearby. The apt. is roomy (relative to hotel room) w/a loft and a small bedroom (2 beds total). The kitchen is well stocked so we prepared breakfast & lunch at the apartment and enjoyed wonderful dinners at the local restaurants in the evening. The apt. has an air conditioner and fans in the bedroom, loft, and living room, so we stayed comfortable.
We were able to navigate to the apartment from the train station via Google maps (with our rolling luggage) and were met by a friend of Fabrizio who presented us with the keys and showed us around the apartment. Fabrizio stopped by the next morning with a bottle of local wine. He also informed us that he has a van and can be our tour guide if we desired a trip to other Tuscan towns, although we didn’t take him up on his offer.
We had a wonderful time during our visit to Florence and I would not hesitate to stay at this rental in the future.

Love Florence like a local
Everything was exactly as described. Beds comfortable, clean, well supplied with everything we needed. We stayed for 2 weeks. The location is AMAZINGLY close to everything but on a somewhat quieter side street. Apartment is quirky and original with a lot of interesting collections. Host picked us up from Florence airport and made a special trip back to get our delayed luggage, also arranged county side day trip to wineries and very early taxi rides back to airport. The building is historic.. stairs up to first floor (for Americans it’s the second floor) a bit steep. But really we thought it was perfect. Gracie Fabrizio!!
