Near Universal Studios (2 miles away), Burbank, Toluca Lake, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, and Valley Village where you can find lots of trendy restaurants, cafes, and shops. Also, close proximity the Metro Station where you can get to Hollywood ( 4 miles away) and Downtown L.A. in a matter of minutes! Beaches are only 25 minute drive! Weekly cleaning fees will apply on long term stays.

I was a little worried about the home based on two earlier reviews. Yes, the address for the home is different from the one we were sent by VRBO and yes the dishwasher is kind of not secured, but the home worked well for us. We are a mother and daughter who show horses and there was a show we attended at the LA Equestrian Center. We travel with our dogs and horse shows are inherently kind of dirty as we are walking on dirt and the horses stalls have shavings. The house has wood floors (I have wood floors at home) and dirt sits on top of the floor instead of being ground in like carpet. We just swept it every day and it was fine. The house was clean when we arrived. There is a security gate for the yard and driveway for which you get a remote and it can be opened manually if you have a visitor. The old antique oven/stove is gone having been replaced by a much newer model. I cooked quite a bit. There is a washer and dryer outside that both work. The yard worked great for dogs visiting with rainy days as there is a cement part outside the back door and then the yard is accessed by another gate, so if it is muddy the dogs can be kept out. We did not use the pool. There has been some remodeling and the master has a sliding glass door that leads to the kitchen. There are no curtains here, so that's a little weird. There are mirrors and pictures not yet hung. It feels a little like a work in progress. The TV didn't get many channels and reception wasn't great, but we don't watch much TV. The wifi worked well. Street parking is very limited. The fridge does not have a working icemaker, but ice was provided. It was surprisingly quiet at night for being not far off a busy street. There are security cameras for front and back. I would stay here again.

The description and the address listed after you reserve the house are wrong. The pictures, however, are of the house you are renting. I only learned this after flying across the country. I texted the owner after we landed to let him know we were on our way. He then told me that the address I had was not for the property and sent me the new address. So don’t expect a wood fireplace, or high thread count linens, a hot tub, vintage Hollywood décor with fine furnishings, or a propane grill… There is a circular pool. I honestly think that the glowing reviews were NOT for this property. Isn’t that what is called a bait and switch? I believe that this property needs some serious cleaning and updating to make it a comfortable rental. My daughter left when she discovered the soles of her feet were literally black from walking from the bath to her bedroom. What we found was: a vintage oven that looked dirty, filthy floors, dirty refrigerator, dirty dishes, cups, glasses, and cookware, dirty sheets, a half eaten granola bar behind one of the couches, a plastic cup behind a book shelf, and the power cable for one of the TVs was missing. I spent a day cleaning. I did the dishes by hand because the dishwasher wasn’t mounted properly under the counter. It pulled away and tilted out when the door was opened and so I wasn’t sure if it worked and there wasn’t any dishwashing detergent provided. I cleaned floors with the only thing available, a Swiffer jet mop. The plumbing was backwards (hot for cold and visa versa) for one shower and the washing machine. With every problem, we contacted the owner who was quick to try to solve the issue. He explained why there was no water or ice in the refrigerator door, he brought a plumber who tried unsuccessfully to unclog the wet bar sink, he even offered to have a cleaning person come in but I didn’t want our Christmas day (or the cleaning person’s) interrupted. By now we were days into our stay. The day I had enough was when the shower drain backed up with black sludge. The owner said it wasn’t sludge but the potato peels we put down the garbage disposal 2 days before. We were not told not to use the disposal. Apparently, it also was not working. We then left and got a hotel room. The owner was very nice, letting us have company with a dog for a couple of days, charging us extra for only the dog. Please beware; one of the bedrooms has a sliding glass door that opens directly to the kitchen, so no privacy.

Its not a good house to stay, in the property its so unconfortable , one of the 3 rooms any privacy , we left the property the same day, 2 hours after we arribed

Richard was a great host. The house was awesome in a cool little neighborhood with very nice neighbors. We greeted each other almost every morning. Plenty of room for big families and a super nice pool (especially at night time). Everything you need is around you, including but not limited to lots of food options, Burbank/North Hollywood is beautiful. I would stay here again and again.

The house provides a very pleasant stay with a fine pool, a great location near restaurants, coffee, etc. in North Hollywood, as well as a quick drive to Burbank and easy access to the freeway. Decor has personality and provides ample space, and kitchen is updated except for an older but classic oven/range that works well. Bedrooms have plenty of closet space and are good sized with comfortable beds. Weekly cleaning is good for controlling mess and dust, and pool is regularly cleaned also. Landlord is easy to contact and replies very quickly and responsibly took care of every minor problem (one day the pool needed chemicals; it was rectified the next day) except for a broken sliding door, which in his defense was very tricky to fix because it was vintage I think but it would have been nice to have had it fixed. Bedrooms were very comfortable, and bathrooms were fine. Laundry appliances worked well and got the job done, and we washed very often without problem. Towels, dishes, pots, etc. were in good condition and there were tons of towels, which was great for using the pool daily. Landlord has recently updated cable/internet so that now TV has all the cable channels and internet is very fast, which is an advantage from the slower internet I had for the first month. That improvement is a great addition. Extra rooms upstairs get a bit hot but provide nice areas for kids or extra people. Neighborhood felt perfectly safe to me and was quiet at night. Logistics with the landlord were dealt with easily and with no problems and he was very accommodating and available for our stay. A car is a must for this neighborhood, and the driveway is gated and there is plenty of security for the house. Burbank Airport planes do fly overhead but not very often and the noise didn't bother us during our stay (flights did not go much past 9 pm I think). All in all a great house in a great location, with only a few minor hiccups, that are probably now rectified and would make a stay even better.

Richard was awesome, he was full of local information on things to do and see and the place was very relaxing and quite unlike some neighborhoods in LA. The house had everything we needed plus the pool as well a great location to getting to any where relatively quick.We plan on staying here again soon for business or quite retreat.

Our stay in this house was very relaxing and enjoyable. The house has cabin characteristics with all the accomodations of a house. Plenty of room for my family of 8. I would highly recommend this home for large families looking for a place to relax after sightseeing. Plenty of beds and sitting space to accomodate a large families and the pool and hot tub are a plus. Not recommended for anyone looking for a place to have big gatherings or parties as there are restrictions on noise and pool/hot hours. I would definetly consider renting this place again for our next trip to LA.

This place was great for our family. It was certainly as advertised. Richard met us there the night of our check in(even though we did not arrive until after 9pm) and showed us everything we needed to know. The central location was perfect as we were just minutes from Universal Studios and Hollywood. We also made the short commute to Dodger Stadium and Santa Monica Beach. Richard was very helpful and prompt with the few minor issues that popped up. The house is cozy, but there was plenty of space(and beds) for our family of eight. The adult couples enjoyed the two separate bedrooms(one of which has a separate entrance to the outdoor hot tub), while our teenage daughters thought the 2 lofts upstairs were pretty neat. The home is in a neighborhood, but the backyard has a secluded feel. While the kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub the adults could sit out on the deck. We would highly recommend this place for families who are looking for a comfortable vacation home. We have stayed in many VRBO locations and this one was ranks as one of our better experiences.

We've stayed in probably 50 VRBO's and this was one of the very best VRBO experiences we have ever had. This is a warm and inviting home filled with eclectic art and design; lovely and comfortable furniture and the very best property owner we have ever done business with. Richard ensured in every way that our stay was as comfortable and memorable as possible. Every time I'd throw a clink in our planning, he responded with "No worries,,," We loved spreading out in this clean and well-maintained home. Teenager texting in her bedroom; young grandson building puzzles on one of the many tables; hubby playing guitar on the patio; me reading and taking naps in a multitude of choices. This is a very quiet neighborhood and with the automatic gate, we felt completely safe in the "big city". All of this with a pool and hot tub, too! Wow. Pinch us... This was a restful, relaxing place to spend a vacation. And here we thought we came to see Legoland, Disneyland, beach and Hollywood! :-)
