My visit started off rough. Delays with the flight, I didn’t get to the hotel until 4am, checked in. I was told I got an upgrade to ocean view.
While the ocean view was true, 2 queen sized beds was not ideal, nor was the condition of the room…
However I only have good things to say about everything else. Staff was great, they all seemed like they actually liked working there. The beach was awesome, the restaurant and bar were fantastic, and it is within walking distance to a small grocery store, liquor store, and a stuf style. (I think everywhere in Clearwater is within walking distance to one of those stores)

It was good, very convenient and clean. We saw lots of dolphins, ands one morning there was a sting ray and a manatee near the rocks. The parking was expensive but was very convenient.

I recently stayed at Dolphin Sands Resort and overall had a great experience. The biggest advantage is how close it is to the beach. Being able to walk over and enjoy the water whenever I wanted was wonderful.
The on-site restaurant was surprisingly good, and I ended up enjoying several meals there during my stay. The staff was friendly, and the property was clean and comfortable.
A couple of things to keep in mind: while the beach access is excellent, it was a bit of a distance to many of the shops and restaurants I wanted to visit. I also found the trolley system somewhat confusing and inconsistent. Sometimes it was difficult to tell how long I should wait, and a few times a trolley arrived that wasn’t going where I expected.
My only real wish for the property itself is that it had a hot tub. That would have made relaxing after a day at the beach even better.
Overall, I would recommend Dolphin Sands Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway. If your main goal is spending time on the beach, it’s a great choice. If you’re looking for lots of attractions, shopping, and activities within walking distance, you may find the area a little quieter than expected.

The staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and nice. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We really enjoyed our vacation here and had a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!
