We had a lovely stay for Easter weekend. This hotel is perfectly located. Easy access to the beach, the pier, restaurants, and shopping. The room was comfy and the view was perfect. We would happily stay here again. Highly recommend!

Upon entering the hotel, the front desk staff were extremely polite, friendly, kind, helpful, etc. I was thinking “awesome!” I had a late check in coming from 3 hours away. The first thing I noticed was the room was a bit dingy and old but I figured the hotel had been there a while. Then; the refrigerator still full of someone else’s food. Like, boxes, drinks, cylinder containers. I’m talking FULL. Still, I’m like okay house keeping just forgot the fridge no big deal. Except, I think house keeping skipped the room in general. While the beds were made, the sheets were NOT clean. In fact. There was a plethora of tiny bugs inside the sheets. My boyfriend and I immediately showered, and left. We left the clothes we had on in the bed in the room as to not take any bugs home with us. When we checked out, the lady at the desk was apologetic and friendly, and asked if she could accommodate us with a new room. Upon declining to stay, assured a full refund. The staff were incredibly friendly, Patrick who was working behind desk when I first arrived offered to move his car for me because the lots were full. Customer service seemed to be great, but the condition of the hotel / rooms not so much.

Front desk so amazing! Mathew and Nico? I think it was who helped with our luggage. Wonderful restaurant, great location! Room was clean & comfortable. Only issue is bathroom outlet didn’t work and balcony lock broken.

Bathroom had slip hazards in tub area and surrounding floor no vent system when you showered sliding glass door was hard to open and close needed rebuilt steel doors were corroded and rusted people parked in handicap area that had no placard told front desk they did nothing Hotel food was horrible and fruit wasn’t fresh told waitress she did nothing to make it right on our bill

Everything was great.... location, food, service, cleanliness, and what a view! We were surprised the bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan to handle the steam from the shower. It looks like there's some rusting in the bathroom already after your updates.

Just a quick 2 day getaway to my favorite hotel in the Charleston SC area. Everything was perfect as usual…. The staff, the room, the coffee shop, the Blu (restaurant)… Everything is outstanding!

We enjoyed our stay at Tides Folly Beach Hotel. The room was very clean and quiet. The staff was exceptional! The young lady in the coffee shop was always very friendly and was very professional. The hotel is very close to some good restaurants and we were able to walk to every one that we ate at. Good view of the beach and fishing pier. We stayed during the off season so crowds were not a problem. Definitely recommend them!

The view was amazing with easy access to the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful with questions and requests. The only thing that would make it better is to have an on-site laundry. There is one on Hudson St., but limited machines and with washer/dryer it was $10/load.

We always love our stays at The Tides. Jay and all of the staff are great. Folly is a great place to visit and the Tides is right on the beach and in the middle of all of the action. We travel a lot and this is one of our favorites.

This hotel is old and needs updating. The rooms are small with no sofa, bed option, unlike the photos. There is no hot tub. It’s a great location right on the sand, near shops and restaurants within walking distance

We were met upon arrival by a manager who helped unload luggage and took it to room for us. Check in was pleasant, room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant served good food and service was great. In addition, a Starbucks coffee shop in-house.

We enjoy staying here. The staff is so very kind! The room still needs TLC. The heat did not work properly & we asked for blankets. The butcher block counter in the room needs to be sanded down & resealed. It looked dirty with stains all over the area near the coffee maker. The toilet tank needed to be replaced as it had a crack through it which had been glued. We will stay again but the rooms need to reflect the quality & price charged.

Our room was very clean and mattress extremely comfortable. Staff was very nice and accommodating. BUT, there is an awful perfumy fragrance in the lobby. I understand it is in the air ducts. Some people are extremely sensitive to fragrances and makes them sick. Why would you have such an strong fragrance in a public place? My first question upon checking in was, "do the rooms smell like the lobby?" There is no way I would or could have stayed if the room had smelled like the lobby. Fortunately it didn't, but you smelled it every time you entered or exited the hotel.

Room outlets should be updated to have a USB port. There were NO available charging outlets in our room. Shower straight up sucks. No water pressure. Shower doesnt drain and you stand in water. No door in the shower = cold ass/chest shower.
