Requested in room coffee so didn’t have to go downstairs to other end of the hotel first thing to get a cup of coffee and the staff was very accommodating. They brought up a small coffee machine and two packets each of regular and decaf coffee.
However, I didn’t notice that there wasn’t a hairdryer in the room until after I showered, so I had to go to the front desk since there are no in room phones and my text was not responded to. The hairdryers are kept in a small cabinet across from the front desk in a bottom section.
It’s an older hotel but everything seems to be well maintained. There was an adequate selection of breakfast items, though I would’ve liked other fresh fruit in addition to the apples that they always have readily available.
Overall, it was a good stay and I would go back to the same hotel if I were visiting Russell or Chariton Iowa again.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Extra towels were provided. Coffee pot was also provided for our early convenience. The breakfast bar was fully stocked with hot food and cold food. All needs were met on all levels.
