The reception staff deserve special praise. After we reported the issues with our first room, they changed it without any problems, which we really appreciated. The breakfast was tasty with a good variety of options, so there was always something to choose from. The hotel is located in a quiet area next to a large park, which was perfect as we were travelling with our dog. It is also very close to a metro station, making it easy and convenient to get to Amsterdam city centre.
We were travelling with our dog and had been informed in advance that we would be given a ground-floor room. Unfortunately, the first room we received was located near the laundry area and was in very poor condition. It had an unpleasant smell, and the blinds couldn't be opened, so it wasn't possible to air the room. Fortunately, after we spoke to the reception staff, they immediately moved us to another room at the front of the hotel. The second room was much better, but it was still very small and felt more like a motel room than a hotel room. It was acceptable for our two-night stay, but it would have been less comfortable for a longer visit.
