I loved the country feel to the location and the desk gal at checkin was outstanding. She help with everything we needed from building a fire in the room to getting the jacuzzi tub set for us. Client services were wonderful. The reason for the issue on the cleanliness was a few things were missed. Cleaning the deck area and towel hanging behind the bathroom door from the previous guest.

Pleasant but couldn’t get the fireplace going without smoke getting all over the room. Yes, the flue was open. We gave up.

I must say this is without a doubt the best guest service I have ever had at any hotel/resort! Michelle was more than helpful when we checked in, made sure our room would work for us before finalizing the check in. Even told me that the restaurant was closing soon...so go eat first and you can check in afterwards. And what a beautiful property you have there and the rooms are amazing! Love it!!!

One of if not the best places I have stayed in 17 years of American Road Trips. Couldn’t be faulted.
Very reasonable price, excellent value. Lovely friendly front desk and servers in the restaurant. Spotless rooms, excellent facilities. Lovely food at the restaurant. Beautiful setting, quiet, we couldn’t fault it. Perfect in every way.

The location was beautiful, just started snowing on our way up from Ashland. The check in/out process was uninviting and the room smelled unclean...carpet torn up, stained chair in the middle of the room, some unknown droppings near the door (my guess is some type of small rodent). So exhausted by checkout, and waiting for someone to come to the front desk, I just needed to get out. Not the best way to end an anniversary trip

Everything about the hotel was wonderful. Except for breakfast and are tv did not work The front desk lady said she would send somebody down to fix it. Nobody showed up. Very slow in getting Breakfast ready and it was not good.

Charming lodge stay - like a cabin! Spacious, with balcony beautiful, X-Large jetted tub, and fireplace, robes. Perfect overnight stay. Restaurant food, good! Complimentary breakfast simple. Service friendly and efficient. Great value!! Will definitely stay again.

Really cool lodge .. kinda funky but thats what makes it cool . Great historical values . Room was super comfortable even had a back door that opened to a big shared deck, Fun for socializing , great pet friendly environment!

The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, but the continental breakfast was lacking. However, the beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in a hotel!

I usually love staying at Callahan’s Lodge. This time I arrived very late and exhausted from a long trip back from the east coast. Check in took forever, seems like there were glitches with computer system? Then I didn’t get the room I wanted, there were plumbing issues with the high floor. I was awakened early in the morning because the batteries in the fire alarm were low and the chirping was very LOUD around 5AM.
Overall, not my best experience with this hotel and it’s such a shame.

Loved our stay! Very rustic, beautiful views seen from our room and the beautiful dining room. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Or room was very spacious with a balcony, hot tub, and the most comfy bed ever! The staff was very helpful and friendly ☺️. We will be making this our go to hotel when visiting Ashland, which we do often.

Great location and comfortable room. The jacuzzi tub was not working in my room. There were signs in the room to contact the front desk if tub wasn't working, but I was too tired to deal with it. Busy when I arrived and my room was right below the restaurant/bar area so there was a lot of noise! Once the bar closed it was very quiet. Beds were comfortable!

I enjoy Callahan's for a variety of reasons. The beds are great, I liked the jacuzzi and fireplace, good coffee, on-site restaurant/lounge.

this hotel is right off the highway but, up in the mountains - easy access but, surrounded by beautiful nature. It is also very affordable. The people that work here are super friendly and helpful. I travel a lot and this is going on my favorite hotels list

Very rustic and cozy. This place was very relaxing, clean, and accommodating. Dining and drinks on site was a huge plus and we loved having a fireplace and jacuzzi in our room and sitting on the deck in the rocking chairs to take in the view and fresh air.

My husband and I had a romantic weekend away from the kids! We live locally but Callahans always feels like a getaway! Well supplied fireplace, clean jacuzzi, comfortable bed, and delicious food. Since ownership changed hands, the quality has really stepped up. Thank you for your hospitality!

We stayed at Callahan's Mountain Lodge for a week since we wanted a "Lodge experience" over a standard hotel. The Lodge location in the mountain was beautiful especially with the snow all around. If you go without any expectations you will be pleasantly surprised.
The staff were very friendly and always willing to accommodate any request to the best of their ability. The overall ambience was warm and inviting. We stayed in a room with a jacuzzi and fireplace. The room was clean upon arrival and relatively large. What made our experience all the more enjoyable was the delicious food created by Chef Alohalani. She went out of her way to cook a Hawaiian dish for us, knowing we were from Hawaii. The meals overall were very tasty and well presented. We would also like to commend Jessica, Ni'Kala & Danielle who served us in the restaurant. Bonnie and Susie at the front desk were always very friendly, kind and accommodating. Mark & Lisa (Owners) are very blessed to have such a wonderful team to rely on. Speaking of Mark & Lisa, they were also physically present, very friendly and jumped in to help at dinner service on the busy nights over the weekend. Finally, the fact that this is a pet friendly property enhanced our overall experience since our daughter and her dog were very well greeted and looked after as well. This is definitely a place to visit and experience no matter the season.

Beautiful spot where I was able to have my dog with me. Bed was among the most comfortable I've ever slept in! Staff were all very friendly, even welcomed me by name when I arrived! There were a few small things Housekeeping missed but Front Desk was quick to make it right. Overall very clean and tidy. Would've been great to have 'fire starter log' as I wasn't able to get a fire going to enjoy, but did enjoy the jet tub! Very relaxing! Would definitely stay there again!

Pros: Very comfortable and quiet, with plenty of in-room amenities such as jetted tub, real wood fireplace and large rooms. Nice restaurant and lounge area. Bucolic, forested setting. Service is excellent. Almost resort-like.
Cons: Poor internet and television service (email etc. is fine, movie streaming is a no go). Rooms are short on outlets and charging ports. Breakfast is bare minimum... cereal, toast, fruit, boiled egg, no hot items. This is a deal-breaker if your looking for an extended stay as the nearest town is 20 minutes away.
Overall, very relaxing with very good value for the working traveller or casual over-night stay.

Such a nice rustic lodge with wonderful service..all stall bent over backwards to help you! Expensive but great food and drinks in their restaurant..free kindling and firewood for your room right outside your door along with directions! Loved it and the jacuzzi tub! Great rocking chair porch. Ten minutes from Ashland and food places..would stay here over and over♥️

My top three needs for a great stay is safety, cleanliness and a comfortable bed. This place had all of that plus more! First of all, we had booked a basic two queen room for the two of us (it was cheaper) and when we showed up they offered us a a free upgrade to a suite! So we enjoyed a jetted tub, two comfy chairs next to a fireplace, a balcony, and a separate kitchenette and dining room. The King size bed was also amazing and very comfortable. WOW! We were spoiled! The mountain decor, the kindness of everyone in the building, the thorough breakfast, and the ease of finding the place was also an added bonus.

Stayed here in 2012 and love it. Great romantic getaway. 12 years later and the property is in disrepair. Not enough staff, and encountering multiple out of order signs on the rooms heating/cooling unit as well as the game room's DVD player. Toilet flushes and then won't stop running, bath towels have holes in them, bed is lumpy and sheets are pilly, and you better be a sound sleeper if you're on floor 1, since between the staircases, elevator, lobby, and restaurant above you it's going to be a noisy night. Disappointed, but mostly sad to see such a beautiful property to be allowed to come to this state.

From the description Callahan's Mountain Lodge looked perfect! Old time charm and close to Mt. Ashland for our ski weekend. The lodge was easy to find. We arrived late and were warmly greeted upon our arrival.
It was evident that the lodge has had a long history but overall felt well maintained. Bathroom was clean and modern, beds were comfortable and clean. Our room had a mini-fridge and microwave and a Keurig with two coffee pods. Internet access was intermittent though less important as this was not a business trip.
The one thing I would change with the room, the windows all had venetian blinds with the adjustment rod broken off. The outdoor lights streamed into our room which made it difficult to sleep.
We opted to eat in the lodge's restaurant instead of traveling back to Ashland. The food was delicious but we had to wait over 45 minutes for our entree at which time the restaurant was closed, the music stopped and we sat by ourselves with the server waiting for us to finish.
The lodge was quirky and had a long history, we would probably stay here again.

The room was very quiet, clean & cozy. We enjoyed having a fireplace, free DVD’s to use in the gift shop & enjoyed a delicious dinner from the restaurant.

The lodge is very cozy with the jacuzzi tubs, fireplaces and comfy beds and is conveniently located right off the freeway. Felt like a fun mountain retreat and the restaurant food is yummy too!

We reserved a room with a fireplace and jacuzzi, but the jacuzzi was broken so they moved us to another room without a fireplace and the jacuzzi was still broken in that room too.
Underwhelming experience and def not worth the arrangements for an overnight date.

Great trip overall!! Food was delicious and atmosphere was great. The only complaint I would have to say was that our room looked like it wasn’t cleaned properly. Their were dirty towels left in our room and the carpet had toenails amongst other crumbs on them and the mirror in the bathroom was dirty.
