It’s across from Laite Beach, a town park right on the harbor, and walking distance to shops and restaurants, with a view of the harbor through trees across the street. You’re also a 10-minute drive to Megunticook Lake and a two-hour drive to Acadia National Park. Harbor House B is a two-bedroom apartment added on to the main house (only one wall in common; Harbor House A, which can also be rented). Inside, you’ll find comfortable, casual decor in a relaxed setting with Berber carpet throughout. You'll love the new furnishings and appliances and vaulted ceilings. THINGS TO KNOW This is a seven-night minimum stay rental. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Situated across the street from the Laite Beach, very close to downtown Camden, the apartment was in a superb location. Spacious, except for the kitchen, the apartment was comfortable. However, the kitchen did not have a dishwasher, as advertised. A disappointment in an upscale unit. As a result, many of the glasses and dishwater were greasy and cloudy, because they were handwashed. Also, the range was not clean. The drip pans under the electric coils were rusty and dirty and the oven was dirty. Checkin was a disaster. The codes did not work on the lockbox. Finally, after some delay, someone came over and then said we were at the wrong unit. She let us in to the A unit. When we called her about some problems there, she apologized profusely that she let us into the wrong unit! She finally got the lockbox open for our correct unit and there was no key! She then had to go get keys. When we finally were able to enter, it started raining. We missed a date with friends and nearly missed dinner. We were promised compensation, but a small amount was granted for the lack of a dishwasher. The local office never called us during the week after several calls to the headquarters.

This house is across from Laite Beach so it makes it easy to get to the water. It is also super close to town so you can explore the quaint shops and various seafood restaurants. The house is fine but could use some small upgrades to make our vacation week even better: main bathroom is huge but needs a towel rack near the shower and a better vanity. There is no where to place any toiletries. The shower drain is painfully slow and the tub fills with water when you shower. The kitchen is really a nook (tiny!); all utensils and kitchen appliances are old and could use an upgrade. I find it hard to cook in the house because of the space and utensils/appliances. The rooms are all decent sized and the beds are comfortable. All in all a comfortable space in a great location.
