This property is amazing! The house is so beautiful and very private with stunning views. We loved the location and had such a great time here. Danielle is very responsive, which was appreciated. That being said, this house is pricey and so I expected more amenities than were provided. I think they are relatively new to the rental space, so I’m sure it’s just growing pains. The shower had no shampoo/conditioner (although the bathroom did have Aesop Body Lotion, which I love). Also, the house could definitely use more towels, pillows, and toilet paper! We were short on all of those items. All in all though, a great stay. Thank you Danielle!

This is one of those rare places that I don't want to share! The mid-century house, in pristine original condition, sitting at the top of a mountain with spectacular views of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge and across to Marin is reason enough to stay here. But it is the host that makes this home truly exceptional. Danielle is a gem - so very gracious, warm and thoughtful. Despite confusion with our booking, she ensured that we were treated like family. She organized an alternative gorgeous place to stay for us and left our daughter (an incoming freshman at Berkeley) the best swag bag of Cal gear an 18 year old could hope for. It's worth booking this house just to meet Danielle. But the house! Owned by the same family until Danielle purchased it, this place oozes mid-century charm. The light is magnificent, and the views from every room are sensational. Siting on the porch, at the edge of Tilden Park, you can watch the sky turn golden as deer, fox and even a mountain lion saunter by (if you are lucky!). For outdoor enthusiasts, miles of trails are steps away, leading deep into the California wilderness, or down to the center of Berkeley. The neighbourhood is equally unique, quiet, quirky and charming. I didn't know such an oasis could exist so close to one of the most vibrant universities in the world, and we can't wait to return to enjoy the bliss of choosing a book from Danielle's well-curated library, poring a glass of wine, and soaking it all in!

Views with style and excellent privacy, and the home felt much larger than in the photos.

Wonderful property with dreamy views of the bay. House has an iconic mid century vibe and is clean and open. Sliding doors can be a little tricky but otherwise everything works well. We were well-equipped, comfortable and happy!

This house is amazing. It is in a developed neighborhood, just minutes from downtown Berkeley, but is extremely quiet and private. So many windows to let in the light and take in the views - sometimes a vista of the whole bay area, sometimes fog and mist around the trees and wildflowers. We saw hummingbirds, bumblebees, and even a doe and her fawn. The kitchen is well equipped with basic cooking gear so that you can cook meals on your own if you wish. No microwave, but that was not a concern for us. I needed to to some work while on this trip, and I appreciated the good wi-fi/internet and the separate office where I could focus. I recommend this as a very comfortable, beautiful, and functional home.

This accommodation is a real dream. The view of SF, the bay and of course the Golden Gate Bridge is breathtaking and worth every penny. The wonderful house offers enough space for 4 to 6 people (and some guests for a little party…), is very well equipped and btw at the same time a style icon in many details in terms of design. I think this is without a doubt one of the most exclusive locations to stay in SF.

We selected this house primarily for the ease of access for some elderly relatives we were visiting and secondarily for the amazing views from the property. On both of those counts, the house delivered 100%. There were a number of practical aspects that were a little disappointing. The kitchen is not very well equipped for cooking--no mixing bowls, no large pot, no baking sheets or pans. Though advertised for a capacity of 6, it comes with only a set of four mugs, bowls, etc. There is a washher but no clothes dryer, which would be okay if there were a drying rack that could be used outdoors or indoors. Very surprised not to find a recycling bin or compost bin. The 1.5 bath arrangement is actually very cleverly done, but beware of locking the pocket doors--it is very hard to get them unlocked. I think this property is new to vrbo, and I have the impresstion that the owners want to meet their renters' needs. I think it is likely they will continue to respond to feedback and requests and continue to improve on these practical issues.
