Sabaidee Chiangmai Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at this property in Chiang Mai. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city. You can easily walk to all major attractions, cafés, restaurants, and shops. At the same time, the hotel is far enough from the busy streets, so it’s quiet at night and you can sleep very well. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, always helpful and attentive. The room was spacious, clean, and well maintained, with a minibar, a comfortable bed, and a good shower with strong water pressure. Free breakfast was simple but tasty, exactly what you need before going out to explore the city. Since we spent most of our time outside, the hotel worked perfectly as a comfortable and practical base. The only downside is that there is no elevator, and our room was on an upper floor, so we had to use the stairs. However, this didn’t really affect our stay, especially since we were rarely in the hotel during the day. Pros: • Outstanding location, walkable to everything • Quiet at night despite being central • Friendly and welcoming staff • Clean, spacious room • Comfortable bed and good shower • Simple but enjoyable breakfast Overall, this is a great choice in Chiang Mai, especially if you value location, comfort, and a peaceful night’s sleep. We would definitely stay here again.

Friendly staff and great location.

The location was great. Within the city centre but not noisy. Loved the spacious room and low bed.

A few reasons why I booked the place weren’t as advertised. Firstly I like to make a coffee before venturing out but there was no kettle in the room even though it was pictured in the room photos. The other thing is breakfast is terrible. I read it was simple but I wouldn’t serve this food to an enemy. One tiny egg, cheap sausage and fake jam toast. All of which gets served to you on a plate with no care at all. A simple plate of fresh fruit would have been a better option.

The location of the hotel and pretty low price.

The room I was assigned had very little natural light, so I constantly had to use artificial lighting. In the bathroom, after every shower, a large puddle of water remained on the floor and took a long time to dry, which caused a persistent damp smell. To be fair, the hotel does have a good location. However, as far as I understand, there is some kind of educational institution nearby, most likely a school. On a couple of days, from 7 to 8 a.m., a male voice was speaking loudly through a loudspeaker, followed by several songs being played. This made it very difficult to sleep. Throughout all five days of my stay, it was also very clear that the sound insulation in the hotel is extremely poor. I could constantly hear people in the neighboring room sneezing, coughing, and making various unpleasant noises, which significantly affected my comfort. In addition, one night the hotel staff decided to hold a celebration. I expected it to end around 10 p.m., as most guests usually want to rest after that time. However, the event did not end at 11 p.m. or even at midnight. The staff were outside, talking loudly, laughing, and playing music, which made it impossible for me to sleep. I consider this kind of behavior inappropriate for hotel staff. Eventually, I had to go downstairs and ask one of the employees to tell his colleagues to keep the noise down. Surprisingly, it worked. Nevertheless, the fact that this incident happened at all left a negative impression.
