Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Rocked to sleep by the sound of the ocean, we were steps away. Greeted by beautiful sunrises each morning that we viewed from the room, it was ideal. There were 2 full beds rather than 1 king size bed which we would have preferred, but the compromise was well worth it. We enjoyed the hot tub (very hot) and a short walk to LavaLava beach club for dinner and entertainment. Everything was great.

I did not receive a code to get into the unit. I had to call to get it. There was no welcome letter or any instructions on using the TV, the hair blow dryer was broken, the bed sheets were oversized and beds were very uncomfortable. There should have been at least coffee in the unit for the first morning of a guests arrival. This is the first time in all my travels a hotel room that had a coffee maker didn`t have coffee to go with it. I am not sure what the other units are like. But Unit 120 really needs to be updated. The surrounding property (beach, bar, pool) area are wonderful. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

I had the best time at this property! The pool and hot tub has ocean views with a pool bar that was super friendly and open late. There is a beautiful paved beach path for walking or running. There is grocery, drug and souvenir shops a very short walk away as well as a variety of wonderful restaurants and bars. Highly recommend and will be returning again! Location was great, 1 min walk to the ocean. The place was a little outdated, the beds were small and super uncomfortable, and the pillows were lumpy. Was on the 1st floor so that was nice. My friend and I had an okay experience at Islander 120. Great location! However, we would have loved for the shower not to break on us. We were good stewards and tried our best to fix it (to no avail—fingers black with grease lol). The tub did not drain properly (on the first day we were already standing in ankle deep water) and on a later day of our stay, the metal shower component slipped right out of the bath faucet. Pretty disappointing TBH. The pillows were flat (which I didn`t mind) but the bed cover was soiled on my friend`s bed in an area at the foot of the bed. We`re pretty chill San Diego chicks, but considered asking for a refund. Rather, we just wanted to let you know so future guests can have a better experience than us! Still enjoyed the island life. Nice property, you get what you pay for, no frills. Room needed updating, tv rarely worked, dead bolt on door broken, hair dryer, dead bugs in the cabinets.Staff not overly friendly. If book from third party, you cant use the laundry facility. Would stay at complex again, but different unit. The location was perfect and right on the ocean. The room was exactly as expected. There was a little issue with the shower but we contacted management and someone came out and fixed it the same day. There is a tiki bar for those who would like to have a drink by the pool and no ridiculous resort fees. I have stayed at 2 resorts in the past and Islander on the Beach will now be my chosen place to stay when I visit Kauai.
