Best hotel

Everything. Close to the beach in walking distance, very clean and cozy. Lovely patio with the Seaview. The room had 2 fridges and beach equipment. Good communication with the owner.

A bit disappointing

It is a very nice property with all the basic things that you would need during your stay. The property looks over the pool and the ocean. It is very quiet during the night. You can enjoy a glass on the balcony. It is very close to Coconut Marketplace where you can find different shops and restaurants. You would need a car for Kapaa town centre. The best restaurant in the area is Lava Lava Beach Club.

It is a shame that I had to give a low score for this property, but we had no aircon during our 8-day stay. It was extremely hot during the night. The property owners didn't believe us when we said that the air is not working and they kind of blamed us for not setting the air properly which was not the case. The air should have been set before our arrival. We paid for a property with aircon and unfortunately, this service was not offered. We felt that the owners were very hesitant to solve this massive issue as the aircon unit was new and they never thought that it can already have an issue.

Perfection in Paradise!

Check in was extremely easy! The owners took time prior to our arrival to give us very detailed information on the check in process and it was so easy after a long day of travel. The unit was exactly as was described and the view was even better than we expected. The owners were very informative throughout the stay and were very easy to contact and responded to all of our concerns very timely. I cannot say enough about these owners and their unit! Our stay was so nice. Even though it was a little tight with our family of 4 (2 adult children), the loveliness of the unit, the complex and ease of this rental and owners made it perfection! I would recommend this unit wholeheartedly and would love to rent from these wonderful owners again when in Kauai! Thank you for a wonderful stay Don and Christina! May God always bless you.

Beautiful all around and serene atmosphere.

The scenery was beautiful , the stores, shops and restaurants were all in walking distance. Also the property is on the beach.

No elevators. We had to tow our luggage up the stairs. No coffee provided.

A great place for a stay on Kauai

A nice place close to the beach. Excellent communication by the host. All necessary information for the checkin was sent well in advance and was clear and easy understandable. The information provided on the surroundings (restaurants etc.) was very helpful. The unit is nice, on the second floor, with a lanai overviewing the central part of the resort (picture: middle lanai on the lefthand side) The unite was very tidy. It comes with two fridges and an additional cooking opportunity besides the microwave. I felt very comfortable in the unit and can only recommend it.

Everything was fine. One small thing maybe: Most of the glasses provided were plastic. Though I fully understand the reason why, I prefer to drink my wine in proper glass ware. But as said, this is just a small point and did not harm the excellent overall impression.

I am grateful that my hosts The Healys have chosen to share their island home with other visitors.

Have stayed at Islander previously and love the location and size of the property. My hosts were thoughtfully thorough in all of their home.

No complaints; I know the property well and was very happy to return with pleasant memories.

Superb

Simple but has everything you need! checkin was possible one day late as our flight got canceled, very uncomplicated! loved to stay there and it was a good starting point for our 5 day stay. I would stay there again.

we had a wonderful time in Kappa and would definitely stay here again.

The grounds were absolutely gorgeous. the room was large enough and well supplied. It is located close to places to eat and good start to any excursion.

Bed could have been more comfortable.

Awesome, peaceful, comfortable, convenient, and beautiful!

The proximity to the beach including a view of the ocean past the swimming pool from the lanai. The overall beauty of the landscaping and closeness to a grocery store, multiple restaurants, and shops. The Lava Lava Beach Club was next door and 2 minute walk from the studio, served Breakfast (Eat in and To Go), Lunch, Dinner and Happy Hour with live music and tables on the beach. Every meal was a delight. The studio itself was furnished tastefully and comfortable. The owners were gracious in providing options for island transportation given I did not rent a car.

I'm an early riser (5-5:30) and found that it took 5+minutes to get warm water in the shower.

Amazing location, best to see the island

Amazing location, right on the beach, with excellent restaurants, amenities and services surrounding it. If you want to travel to Northshore and around to Waimea Canyon, this area is perfect as it is central. The room is clean and comfortable, the aircon seemed new and worked a treat. There is a cooler, beach chairs and a boogie board for you to use, and two fridges. Overall we would definitely stay here again if we returned to Kauai.

Great stay in Kauai

Loved the location, very close to many food options, unit was very clean and decorated nicely. Would definitely recommend!

The beach in front of the property is rocky and not swimmable. The pool area is quite small for the amount of units and often crowded.

Location and the property itself is amazing, great value for your money and overall we are happy.

location is amazing ~ 12 mins from the airport and middle of everything else

There was no hot water upon arrival and host was hesitate about resolution but it got resolved. The bath towels smell funny.....

It was perfect

The location was perfect. It was so lovely. I would stay there again. I was alone and I felt very safe. The property did not have a kitchen but had utinsles and plates and two fridges. Beach chairs and boogie board. Very roomy. The owners were very nice.

They didn't have a kitchen but there are BBQS

Islander 244 is perfect

The pool and hot tub was close and well maintained. The Sandbar was convenient. Staff was accommodating. The view in 244 of the pool and ocean was awesome!

FANTASTIC already making a plan to come back

The location of the property was great but also, the location of the unit awesome, close to the pool and the beach with great view & so awesome to hear the waves at night to lull you to sleep ( if you don’t use air conditioner) can’t wait to return 🌺

Clean and serene stay close to north and south shores of Kauai

Islander on the Beach is a smaller resort property located next to a shopping area with shopping, grocery, and informal dining. Adjacent resorts have nice dining options. Islander is a low-key and relaxing property. Unit 244 is an excellent choice - clean, two small refrigerators, comfortable bed, and porch overlooking the pool and beach. Excellent communication from the owner.

The pool bar wasn’t open, but this may have have been due to COVID restrictions? Ice machine for our building was broken, but another building had a working ice machine.
