Very handy to the metro, I liked that you just needed a pin to get into the property and not a key. We also liked how spacious our room was with everything we needed there waiting for us.
It wasn’t an issue but the steps were very steep to get up to our room. I know that this was mentioned when booking.

The Duomo Smart Suites are aptly named as they are maybe 10 minutes' walk from the Duomo and the Duomo metro stop. The Santa Sofia metro is even closer. They don't serve breakfast but there are plenty of inexpensive places to eat, including a Carrefour that's right on the corner. Our room was large and comfortable with plenty of room to store/ hang up clothes and a big bathroom.
By driving to the hotel you enter Milan's congestion zone which you have to pay EUR 7.50 for. They don't do much to explain to you how to pay for it - you have to figure it out yourself. I hope I did it correctly!

Great location, clean rooms
We booked a triple room (so had 2 beds for 2 people) they tried to charge an extra €30 per night to use the second bed. Despite us having booked a 2 bed room they assumed we wouldn’t use the second bed for some reason.
They said they assumed the second bed wasn’t going be used and had to pay for it on top of what we paid due to the cleaners they had to pay. We were only staying2 nights and didn’t need the sheets changing so stated this, we were then told the cleaning staff were unlikely to come as they don’t come everyday. It was really odd & we were told we were not allowed to use the second bed even though that’s why we booked the room. The staff were very rude & not helpful at all. Needless to say we didn’t pay the additional fee as it was ridiculous to be charged for a made up bed when we’d booked the room specifically to use both beds. Very disappointed with this.
