If you like jazz, this is the place to stay in Morioka, if you don't like jazz - it's still the place to stay. Don't be put off by it being above the bus station. The rooms are cool. I had a single with a nice green courtyard view. The jazz angle is a jazz cafe West38 and Toshiko Akiyoshi Museum run by Ken - try to have a chat with him.
They don't have parking - park in the lot directly behind the bus station -away from the big road - reception will give you a coupon to pay
