Located in Shaver Lake, this lovely cabin for $214 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Up on a hill in the Sierra Cedars neighborhood of Shaver Lake, this incredible cabin has tons of outdoor space for exploring, sledding, and parking. The large lower deck and two upper balconies provide a great vantage point of the beautiful forest views, wildlife, and bird watching. Warm up by the fire, cook gourmet meals in the kitchen, or BBQ and have dinner under the stars. Three bedrooms, two full baths, spacious common areas, central heating, and updated will all the modern conveniences you'll need to feel right at home! The Space Set uphill from the road, a rather steep driveway with a sharp turn leads up to the cabin. Once you're up the driveway, there is plenty of flat parking. Up a few stairs, you'll enter from the large front deck which opens into the living room with fire place and cozy furniture. The living, dining, and kitchen area are a great space to hang out. There's one bedroom and bathroom on the main level. Upstairs, you'll find two more bedrooms, one with an electric fireplace, and another full bathroom. There's an air mattress available as well. The Sister Bear cabin is the perfect space for one or two families traveling to Shaver. The Neighborhood Located in the Sierra Cedars neighborhood dotted with unique and extravagant cabins, this is a prime location for viewing wildlife! Breathe in the crisp mountain air and sip your morning coffee, or barbecue with your family and friends outdoors in this family-friendly neighborhood. Five minute drive to restaurants and shopping, just over 30 minutes to China Peak Ski Resort! Getting Around We suggest using your own vehicle to get around. You are more than welcome to walk, jog, or bike around the neighborhood! 4 wheel drive and tire chains are strongly encouraged during winter months, and may be required by California Highway Patrol if there's snow in the forecast. It's not uncommon for the roads to close when there is heavy snow fall. Make sure to keep an eye on your weather forecast. About your Hosts This cabin is hosted by a family-owned business, Guest Equity Vacation Rentals! We have a 100% response rate and love chatting with our guests! We're Super Hosts and Community Leaders on Airbnb, and Premiere Partners on VRBO! We are available from 8am-9pm by messaging through the app or calling/texting the Customer Service phone number provided in your check-in instructions. We're insured by Safely, please keep a lookout for a Safely email after booking to complete your background check. Get to know us better and keep a lookout for deals on instagram @Guest_Equity! House Rules 1. Communication is key! Check in after 4pm. Check out by 11am. Our office hours are between 8am-9pm, so please communicate between those hours and let us know if you plan to arrive after 9pm. 2. Honesty is the best policy! Let us know about ALL guests who will be coming to the house. Maximum Occupancy is 8. Pets are allowed! $100 pet fee will be applied. 3. No parties! We know this home holds a lot of people, but we still request that you love it as if it's your own. No smoking of any kind. Removal of smoke detectors is illegal. Loud music, excessive rowdiness, excessive drinking, smoking, etc. will result in a $1,000 party fine. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am. 4. Be respectful! When using outdoor areas (patio, bbq, etc.), and other provided amenities, please clean up after yourself so the next guests can enjoy them as well. If something is wrong, low, or out, please let us know so we can fix it. 5. Have fun! Our goal is to host a vacation to remember. If you don't agree with our above rules, this is NOT the house for you, please let us know so we can find you a home that better suits your needs! We'll always do our best to make sure you have the best time! 6. Act like a LOCAL! Please NEVER leave trash outside or a dirty BBQ, which will attract bears and other wild animals. There is a provided dumpster for your convenience. This is a tight-knit mountain community and we all need to do our part to keep it clean and beautiful! Have a great stay!

The house itself was nice and had plenty of room for all of us. No AC which I feel should be stated more clearly so guests are aware, however the heat wasn’t too bad especially downstairs. The beds were comfortable for the most part. The bathrooms were nice. There were tons of extra blankets but I doubt they get cleaned on a regular basis based on the amount of blankets per room but it’s nice to know they are there. The front deck was where we hung out the most and I liked the big table it had out there. We are most all our meals out there and played games. However it was covered in dust and cobwebs. The back deck had what looked to be a table and chairs but it was not set up for us nor was it clean. Again tons of cobwebs, dust and debris back there. I wish it had been put together like the pictures show. We may have also enjoyed sitting out there as well. We used the grill on that back deck as well however it was extremely dirty and we cleaned it before we left. I feel the cleanliness of the inside was up to par (besides the upstairs closet having a used water bottle and junk in it) but not the outside. I would stay here again maybe in the winter instead of the summer. Also something to note the pictures do not show but the driveway is actually very steep, and parking can be a little tight.

We got lucky enough to get an amazing snow fall our second night and couldn’t get enough of the winter wonderland. Check in was so easy. I wish they listed all of the added things they have because I didn’t need anything but food! We were constantly shocked they had EVERYTHING we needed. Even a first aid kit with motrin in it (my son started not feeling good and we cheered when we found it)! Showers were stocked and they had plenty of towels. We brought sleds but the last day saw a garage full! We wanted to stay an extra night so badly😍. Our favorite amenities were the fireplaces in the upstairs bedrooms! So easy to use, beautiful, and soo warm! It was nice our kids could pick their room temperature and we could pick ours. The beds upstairs were very and a memory foam topper would’ve made a world of difference! Our kids slept great but my husband and I were hurting after. We didn’t use the downstairs room at all but on the last day I noticed it had a soft topper so we’ll sleep in there next time! The other bummer was the house cleaner showing up 15 minutes early, I thought she’d wait in her car but she she came in and started cleaning around us while we were trying to load the car and my kids were changing into dry clothes. It was pretty awkward and frustrating. We were loaded up in our car at 11 to leave but we had to go in and ask her to move her vehicle so we could get out of the driveway. Obviously not a huge deal but that was the only hiccup! We can’t wait to come stay again!
