Nestled in Birmingham, this charming house for $278 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Summary: Our beautiful MCM home is located just 15 mins from DT & set on almost 1 acre of land. Outside, you'll find a beautiful landscape + a backyard to grill & make memories! The interior boasts a gourmet/well stocked kitchen, large living space w/cozy sectional & fireplace, + the most comfy beds. IF YOU LIVE WITHIN AN HOUR OF BIRMINGHAM, YOUR STAY MUST BE APPROVED BEFORE YOU BOOK SO PLEASE CONTACT US! (This is to prevent gatherings of any kind). This home is strictly a VACATION RENTAL The Space: THE BIRDHOUSE is a 3 BR/2 BATH home. (There is a basement apartment attached which can be rented - if available- for bigger groups. We call this "The Birdhouse" for a few reasons: 1) it's super close to the airport (metal birds!), 2) The previous owners, who took impeccable care of the home, also installed many bird houses in the backyard which you will notice and 3) the sound you'll wake up to when you stay here, is the beautiful sound of birds chirping vs. the sound of the city. The property seems like it should be out in the country due to the size. It is a very special/peaceful place. Everyone who comes to this house always comments about what a hidden gem of a property it really is! Now for the spaces... besides the enormous backyard which has a huge grassy yard, a pool, outdoor eating area and grill, the inside space is very large and is a perfect place to hang out with your family and play board games, build that gingerbread house, or finally finish that Netflix series you started watching 6 months ago! KITCHEN: The kitchen boasts Jennair and Kitchenaid appliances, and has literally EVERYTHING you need to cook. We also provide spices, coffee, tea, and much more. LIVING ROOM: We outfitted the living room with a very large, very comfortable sectional sofa and accent chairs. There are also cushions to use if you have a great game of uno happening at the coffee table and need to sit on the floor. You will also find a gas fireplace to enjoy in the colder months and of course the TV which has a Roku device so you can log into your streaming accounts. Off to the side, there is a dedicated workspace with a large desk that is very close to the internet router (for fast wifi). DINING ROOM: The dining room table currently sits 6, but there is a leaf that can extend it to fit even more guests. It is elegant and cozy... perfect for that meaningful time together. MASTER BEDROOM: The master bedroom boasts a King Bed with a crazy comfy memory-foam mattress. The room is quite large and has plenty of closet space. There is a small couch and a twin mattress that can be pulled out. This space is designed to be a haven for parents with small children who need to be in the same room. Note that there is also a pack & play stored in the hall closet you are welcome to use! MASTER BATHROOM: The master bedroom is pure luxury with a large rain shower and bench. You might just want to live in the shower :) Shampoo, Conditioner, & Body Wash provided. QUEEN BEDROOM: Queen Bed with pillow-top mattress. We decorated this to be a quiet/serene space. 2 TWIN BEDROOM: These twin beds are Extra Long (like dorm beds) so they will be comfortable for kids and adults alike. However, unlike dorm beds, these have super comfortable memory foam mattresses. You'll find a small desk, perfect for another work space or homework, and a large closet. MAIN BATHROOM: The bathroom that the other bedrooms share includes a jetted tub... perfect for relaxing after a hard day of.... relaxing! (after all, you are on vacation!) Shampoo, Conditioner, & Body Wash provided. EXTRA SLEEPING SPACE: We have a queen air-mattress that has a built-in pump that is perfect to put in the living room for extra sleeping space (sheets/pillows included!) PARKING: Although there isn't parking available on the street, up to 4 cars can fit in the driveway and there is even room for an RV on the side of the garage. Guest Access: Guests access the property through the front door using a digital lock that is programmed with a code specifically for them. The lock will not work until the house rules/disclosures are signed by the booking guest & pool waivers are signed by the other guests. The Neighborhood: THE BIRDHOUSE is located on a quiet street in a quiet street in a transitioning neighborhood. It is 3 minutes off the freeway yet you don't hear fwy noise due to the lush landscaping and tall trees. The house itself is on the top of a hill and is very private. The area is becoming known for shopping and dining and is conveniently located close to downtown Birmingham. You can be in the heart of the city in 10-15 minutes! Other Things to Note: The Birdhouse is dog friendly with a few conditions: There is a $25/night per dog fee and all pups must be well trained and are not allowed on the furniture under any circumstances. Guests are required to pick up after their pet (including the yard) and will responsible for any damages to furniture, etc. Because the pool is not gated, no children under the age of 14 are allowed to be in the backyard without supervision. The basement apartment on the property ("THE NEST") has it's own outdoor space and yard that is divided with a chain-link fence. Guests may not enter the yard in this space unless the the apartment is rented as well. (Gates are locked) At the same time, guests from The Nest are not allowed to come into the Birdhouse yard and do not have access to the pool. The bistro lights on the house & pavillion turn on automatically when the sun goes down! Please do not turn off as they are there for safety as it is really dark at night.
