We had a great stay at Villa Magellan. The home was beautifully decorated , comfortable and very clean . Love the art work . Kitchen well stock to prepare any meal .The starter amenities were a welcoming touch. The check in and check out information in the kitchen was very helpful . The backyard and pool area beautiful and overlooks a private golf course. The host very responsive. I was happy to have an early check in . My only disappointment was the pool was very dirty and full of leaves that really needed to be vacuumed . I arrived after a storm and it was a bit chilly . Only one afternoon would have been nice to sit by the pool plus I paid extra to heat the pool. The pool does not have a lanai so debris can settle in the pool. The host did acknowledged my concern but did not send someone to clean it . I would have given this a 5 star if someone came to vacuum the pool - especially because I paid for the heater . Otherwise this is a beautiful and convenient property to stay at. I would stay here again and recommend this home to my family and friends .

We absolutely loved this property! It was very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I loved that there were more than eight sets of dishes; a lot of times places have only one plate/glass, etc. per person, but they had way more than that. The pool was clean and warm. The beds were comfortable. They had chairs, wagon, umbrella, sand mat and sand toys for the beach. Honestly, I cannot say anything negative about this place. We loved it!

Our family spent 2 ½ wonderful months at Villa Magellan II. The house had been completely renovated and looked brand-new, bright, fresh, and super clean. The location was so convenient to so many fun activities in and around Sarasota, including the Big Cat Habitat, Jungle Gardens, Ringling Museum, Selby Botanical Gardens, UTC area, St. Armand’s Circle, LOTS of really cool playgrounds for the kids, and, of course, the gorgeous beaches of Anna Maria Island, Lido Key, and Siesta Key are relatively close. Also, an easy drive to Publix, CVS, Target, major highways etc. But our favorite feature of the house was its poolside backyard and setting on the golf course - allowing for beautiful sunrises and sunsets, open full-moon views, and fun romps on the lawn for our active 2-year-old. At night, with the attractive pool and tree lighting, it felt like we were on the water, so quiet and private. The property manager and owner were terrific to work with, helpful, caring, and very responsive. AMAZING rental experience!

This house was perfect for us! It is spacious, clean, open, and a great location. The landscaping was immaculate! Everything about the house indicated that it was well taken care of - if you're visiting Sarasota, this is a great get!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay (2 adults, two middle school kids). The property manager was very responsive when we had a problem with the air conditioning (may have been user error). The house was as described, very clean and the pool was great. Two additional comments: 1. The house could have used some additional "basics" we usually see at VRBO's -- shampoo/conditioner/soap, condiments in the fridge or cabinets and even some coffee and sugar or a Keurig with pods. 2. The location was pretty centralized for everything we wanted to do, but the neighborhood is still developing and there definitely were some areas to avoid if you head in the wrong direction. Again, overall very good and would stay there again, reasonably priced and very nice house.

The house and the pool were very clean. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. However, I will have to agree with the previous review that the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms were very noisy. The compressor and condenser on the other side of the wall made it almost unbearable if you like to sleep in the quiet. Luckily, my children sleep with music so it drowned out the noise a good bit. Also, the kitchen faucet was very loose and the guest bathroom faucet was moderately loose. The property manager communicated effectively with the exception of not telling us that a pool maintenance company would be outside replacing the pump for a majority of the day. Overall, we had a great vacation but it was a little pricey to have these kinds of flaws.

there were several things that keeps me from giving this property 5 stars. there was a beeping sound on the pool deck then entire week. we complained but no one came to fix it. at night time, there was a loud constant humming noise outside the bedrooms 2 and 3 that made it difficult to sleep. the constant humming lasted 9pm - 12pm every single night. the kitchen faucet was ready to fall off, very wobbly. the pocket door to the master bath would not stay shut unless the door was locked, which made it inconvenient for husband and wife to get ready at same time. the towels were thin, for the price we paid they should be better quality. Not having network TV during March Madness week was a pain. the pool was saltwater which should have been revealed at booking and again upon arrival. there was no information sheet/binder disclosing things about the house such as pool maintenance, garbage pick up, TV system, nearby restaurants and shopping. we have stayed in many VRBOs and it is common practice to have a binder with this information. The directions provided in email to lock and unlock the door were not accurate.
