The photos posted on VRBO are misleading. Rooms are much smaller than they appear and the house is older than it looks like in the pictures. Plus a big thing for us was the photo showing the view out the living room windows must have been enhanced to block out the green house next door, which is literally just a few feet away. The construction next door was a major pain and should really be communicated to future renters, as it’s not feasible to enjoy the deck with the construction workers just feet away. Not to mention how many construction vehicles were parked out front, making our parking challenging at times. Finally, we were very disappointed that there was not “welcome” packet with information about the house. We had to contact the host for the instructions on how to gain entry to the house, and then we had to contact the host again to get the WiFi password. No paper towels in the house, and minimal toilet paper. Outside light was not functioning which made it treacherous when coming and going in the dark, nor did the decorative lights on the deck work. All in all, while the house itself is nice, it definitely needs some minor upgrades. The view of the lake is spectacular. But very difficult to enjoy anything outside with construction going on all day.

Overall we had a pretty good stay at the house. The location is great and there was plenty of room for the 9 guests we had staying at the property. The mattresses and couches were pretty uncomfortable, particularly the mattress in the primary suite. When we arrived, there were dishes in the dish washer we had to put away which was kind of frustrating. There were also no toiletries like soap/shampoo/conditioner in the bathrooms so make sure to bring your own. Until we arrived at the location and got the hosts phone number, communication with the host was difficult and unclear. Be sure to specifically ask for parking passes and pool passes prior to check-in if you're interested in using them or else you won't get them (even though the check-in message states that you get 4 parking passes). There is an additional cost for the pool passes. Once we arrived and got the hosts phone number, the host was very prompt returning messages. I would definitely stay in this neighborhood again, not sure about this particular location.

It was lovely and very peaceful. Most people we saw were families just wanting to relax and enjoy the beautiful lake area. It felt very secure and everyone was friendly and helpful. The hostess answered all our questions and made communication easy and comfortable. This was a great find!

Overall, we had a great stay. The house is large and the views are beautiful. Plenty of bathrooms, the pool table was a nice extra, the bonfire was used every night. We were right on the water and a short walk to the pool. I do feel like I need to mention a few things that we wish we had a warning about prior to or that should be mentioned in the listing: Our main complaint was that there was major construction happening on the house right next door. The workers got there at 7am and stayed until at least 6pm most nights (even after we contacted the property manager—who was not apologetic in the slightest). The dust from the construction blew over onto the screened in front porch all day. We had to often pause conversations to wait for the construction noise to break. It was honestly a huge bummer—especially with small children trying to nap. Hopefully this won’t effect other vacationers at this property but we all really feel like we should have, in the very least, had prior warning. The room with the bunk beds has very inconsistent and extreme temperatures—which made it tough for the kids to sleep and for us to control the temperature. It was 61 degrees in there when they went to bed and then it was 81 degrees in the morning. Honestly, if it wasn’t for the construction, we really wouldn’t have anything to complain about. For the cost, we would have expected to be able to enjoy the balcony and bonfire area without all of the noise.

Overall good. Tub in Upstairs bdrm did not have a stopper. A few burned out light bulbs. Extras like pool table was nice especially because of bad weather. Normal amenities such as bath soap and shampoo were not available. And bath mats getting out of tubs or showers were not there.
