Very relaxing lodge!

Beautiful lodge, well maintained grounds and swimming pool, which was hard work as the place was flooded in the rain season. When we were there in July, the place was kept dry, by putting up dams around the property. Which made the location to be ride on the edge of lake Manyara, which was beautiful. Very friendly staff and good food.

A bit unclear if WMA fees needed to be paid. When we drove to the lodge we passed a permit control booth (we were on self-drive safari), but nobody was there.

Vraiment décevant

Le personnel est principalement très gentil et souriant. L'intérieur et les installations sont très belles. Le repas était très bon, bien que trop cher pour ce que c'était.

Plusieurs choses nous on énormément dérangé. Tout d'abord pas de moustiquaires dans la tente (dans une zone infesté de moustique à cause du lac), heureusement nous en avions une portative. Nous arrivons avec notre réservation, et à peine descendu de la voiture qu'on nous dit que la réservation ne comprends pas les repas. Ça sera 25$ par personne le dîner sans boisson (pas de choix intermédiaire) et 10$ par petit déjeuner. Ça fait déjà 70$ non prévu, et ne pensez pas aller manger à l'extérieur, il n'y a rien avant plusieurs kilometres. En plus, à notre arrivée, on nous demande de payer une sorte de droit de passage pour accéder à l'hôtel (l'hôtel envoie nos passeport en photo à des agents du gouvernement) une sorte de taxe pour touriste... Ces agents qui nous attendais à 9h le lendemain matin avec sommation de payer si nous voulions repartir.. 70$ de plus... En soit notre petit séjour en tente avec toilettes communs nous a coûter 140$ de plus que prévu... Très très mauvaise expérience.
