This unit is attached to a home on a hill in Emerald Hills, a neighborhood in Woodside / Redwood City. There are 25 steps leading from the parking area down to the entrance. While the owners live upstairs, you'll rarely hear them because of the way the house was designed. Also note that the kitchenette has a single-burner tabletop induction burner for cooking, and there is no oven or dishwasher. The TV has a Roku device through which you can log in to your Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Disney+ etc. accounts -- be sure to log out before leaving! You share the laundry room with the other guest unit and with the owner, who lives upstairs. Despite this rustic, almost rural feel, you're only 10 minutes from Redwood City's bustling downtown, full of restaurants, coffee shops, salons, etc. Getting Around: There is no nearby bus service, and the roads are narrow, steep, and winding, so you'll get quite the workout biking or walking. You'll need a car, or Uber/Lyft, to get around. Note that Uber/Lyft can often take 15 minutes to arrive. Other Things to Note: This studio is attached to a home on a steep hill, and there are 25 steps leading from the parking area down to the entrance, so it may not be suitable for everyone. If you're fine with the stairs, the views alone are worth it! Also, note that the studio has a *kitchenette*, not a full kitchen. It has a single-burner tabletop induction hot plate instead of a stove, and there is no oven or dishwasher. While you can cook great meals using the hot plate and the microwave, the kitchenette is not really equipped for making three-course gourmet meals.
